Fun fact! This poor fella probably only narrowly dodged losing part of his finger as part of the gas from the bullet expels out the from the cylinder as it is not a sealed system. This means you can literally strip yourself down to the bone by holding a revolver wrong. Fun!
Putting aside the amazing model and its.. perfectly normal sized hips, I love the micro details put in when he fires when you watch it frame by frame. The tiny movements in the trigger, hammer and his lips, the delayed reaction and the way his hands stay in place even as the gun leaves his grip, just like in real life when someone accidentally fires a gun. It's always great to watch those tiny details in your videos
Also, when the gun hits the ground and his right ear twitches toward the sound just a lil bit. Loved that, see my doggo do that alot and i loved that lil detail.
Try being at the range with these same people. The urge to go somewhere secluded and unpopulated grows every time I stand next to people like this and hoping I don't get flagged.

I'd rephrase that last sentence as "Don't be this red doofus, guns don't care if you're sexy!" Cause that furry has such a sexual undertone that I'm surprised this animator had the boldness to use it.
I am amazed their fingers are okay, considering the amount of gas that comes out the front of (most) cylinders on revolvers. On a sidenote, it is concerning and hilarious how recent people keeping their finger off the trigger being the norm is.
That's what I was thinking. Though, I have heard a story or two about people that hold their revolvers like that and refuse to listen to anyone else and that their hand so calloused on cylinder side that it wouldn't be surprising if they had zero feeling in half their hand.
I don't think the rules of gun safety are a recent thing, I think the problem is more due to many gun owners not having adequate firearm training/instruction
@@DreamyAileen I am specifically talking keeping your finger off the trigger. Even major armies, like the british one, didn't do that like 150 years ago. Don't exactly remember how recent it is.
i really love the small movements and fine details in the animation, like hoiw the fingers actually move like a real finger moves, or the squint actually looking natural. the mouth also like not opening all the way with the pewing was great too.
I first noticed that he _very clearly_ had the rounds in the chamber modeled. Chekhov's gun is apparently a revolver. And if you slow the video down, you can see the hammer dropping, which is great attention to detail, but also makes you realize, *He was messing with the gun with it cocked* . Also, Catz, great job on modeling the fact that the trigger was slightly back in the guard when the hammer is cocked. Good details man.
@@doodlesyoru2108 Anton Chekhov was a writer who made a piece of advice called Chekhov's Gun. It means any story element that is given detail should be used later in the story, otherwise there's no point in giving that detail at all. The example was, if you write a book and a scene says that "a rifle hung above the fireplace" you can guarantee that that rifle will be used in some way to impact the story later. I mean here that the clearly loaded chambers of the revolver in the animation drew my eyes to them, and made me immediately realize that they would have a significant impact on the story. Because it's about gun safety. And one of the rules of gun safety is "Every gun is always loaded. Treat it as such and you won't be surprised."
There have been so many hints about this. Can you tell me the name of this character and its author so that I can go and see where he's from? Thank you in advance. (yes. I'm interested in a different model of this character)

Funny story I did this once. Back when I was 11 I put a shotgun shell into the 20 gauge double barrel shotgun. Welling toying around with it at least I did always have the gun in firing position. One day I pulled the wrong trigger on the live shell. Which went through my parent's window and left me with a ringing in the ears for about 30 seconds and worried the police would arrive as I did fire in a town. This is when I learned that firearm safety is everything and even to this day not something to toy with live ones anyways.... I made the excuse fireworks in the house as if it was better.
I'd like to say that with revolvers, there is a space between the cylinder and the barrel that allows the gas to bleed through. If you hold a revolver with your hand in front of the cylinder, like our friend here, your hand would get blown apart. Thankfully, that didn't happen here. But always know the gun you're handling, or you could get really hurt!
Not blown apart, not unless it was a big-bore revolver, but with a .44 or .357 you would absolutely burn the *shit* out of your hand and probably find yourself missing a few top layers of skin.
