Hi Danielle! I just found your channel by searching for making laundry detergent with Thieves household cleaner. I'm having health problems from household chemicals and fragrances. Going to try this today. Thank you!
@@GlamburgerGlam okay did a couple of loads. What would you suggest for helping to whiten the whites as they came out clean but kind of dull. I added white distilled vinegar to the rinse cycle... Thx!
So excited for this video. I’m getting more and more excited to try out this company. Thank you so much for sharing. Quick question, is the detergent runny or thick?
I just run mine on warm, so I'm honestly not sure. I haven't tried it with hot or with cold, to be honest. I don't know why it wouldn't be fine though.
Thank you so much! The cool thing is that I've even learned some things by posting this...like that adding the baking soda is an unnecessary step, so I can save money by omitting that! Sounds good to me!
This is fantastic Danielle! I love using liquid detergent too - I feel it cleans better! I'm going to try this with some substitutes over here (once my current detergent runs out) 💖💖💖
I do know that the Thieves Household Cleaner from Young Living is a big part of why this detergent works so well, but I'm not sure what would be a good substitute for it. I'll have to give you the ingredients that are in it and you can see what you could do to make something similar. I am sooo happy I made the switch. I love that we don't have a bunch of chemicals on our clothes anymore!
I actually just use distilled white vinegar as fabric softener. I just place it in the fabric softener dispenser in the washer an then use essential oils on wool dryer balls in the dryer.
@@GlamburgerGlam awesommmeeee. Thank you so much. I stumbled across your channel and I was like yes I hit the jackpot. Your method is soooooo easy to follow without all the confusion
I do! My son does construction type work and gets super dirty and sweaty (and stinky, let's be honest) and this cleans his clothes with no problem whatsoever.
Yes, I'm part way through my second batch! I have a lot of laundry around here. LOL It works great, even on my son's gross work clothes! I think the hardest part in switching over is getting used to not smelling a scent from your clothes. They just smell clean, but not like anything floral, tropical, mountain fresh, etc.
@@_E_P Yes, I did add lemon oil the first time, but I honestly just really like the scent of the thieves household cleaner in there, so I felt like it was kind of a waste to use one of my oils in it. You most definitely can though, if you want a stronger scent.
First 🥰🥰🥰
Can’t wait to try this!

@@capecyn Yes, I just use vinegar, because it's a natural fabric softener as well.
I love Young Living EO's.. thank you for sharing how you make your Laundry Detergent!!! Love ya my friend xoxo
Aren't they amazing?! I love them sooo much! Thank you so much for watching, Wendy! Love you back!
That is great. Great information and a good way to take care of living without all the chemicals 😊
Thank you! I am so happy about these changes I've made with things around our house.
Thanks for showing us
No problem! I did learn that I can omit the baking soda because it's actually not necessary, so that saves even more money! Yay!
This looks like you will be saving a ton of money too doing it this way 💜 love you!!
Most definitely! I feel all fancy making my own too. LOL
I'm going to have to check this out, it could be cheaper then buying laundry detergent and heading over to the softener video now! Ya I can't sleep 🙃
Awww, I'm sorry you couldn't sleep!

Quick question, is the detergent runny or thick?
Thank you so much, Jessica! The detergent is runny, like water basically.
Does this still work for your family ?
I did use this for about a year, but then just got where it wasn't convenient to order from YL anymore. It worked great while we did use it though!
In the washing washing machine can I set it to cold water, or do I have to use hot water cycle for it to be effective?
I just run mine on warm, so I'm honestly not sure. I haven't tried it with hot or with cold, to be honest. I don't know why it wouldn't be fine though.
This is so cool! I've always wanted to do stuff like this. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much, Tracey!!!
I can't find the video she talks about of making fabric softener anyone know where I can find it?

@@warpig03 Oh awesome! Thank you so much!
You don’t use Thieves Laundry Soap in this?
No, I don't when I make that recipe. Sometimes I do just get the Thieves laundry soap and dilute it down in this big container though!
When you say "Laundry detergent cap" do you mean the cap of the Thieves or the cap of whatever container you're storing the detergent in?
I used a laundry detergent cap from a store bought detergent I had had before.
Does it work for white clothes as well or do you use something else for white?
Yes, it works for white clothes as well.
Glamburger thanks 🙏
@@UshaRani-oj3qr You're welcome!!!!

i definitely need this because detergent is so expensive.
It really is, and filled with toxic stuff that you don't really want to be breathing in or have on your skin all day.
Pretty cool! I like it! TFS! ~ Nona
