- A little clip of landing in Albenga Italy. Small mountainous airfield that even in light winds can prove to be a tricky approach. Nonetheless always enjoyable.

Fantastic video showing the difficulties of landing at that airfield. The amount of movement at the end right before touchdown was crazy.
It's not the easiest on the best of days. It's situated in a mountain bowl with one way in one way out. Really windy days are not fun
And that’s how you do it !!! perfecto. Thanks for your presentation.
Thank you, It was only 9knts of wind but you always add another 10knts going into Albenga
Thank you for sharing your trip here.
Thank you for watching
@@Scott_Barclay You are welcome. Now that you are back to flying then travel safely.
Adding my wishes and hope you are ok. Really missing your refreshing vlogs. Really hope to see you here again soon.
Miss seeing you, where have you been today is Nov. 3? Enjoy your videos.
Hi Scott, your videos are great! greetings from Albenga 😊😊😊

Great video again Scott, that wind certainly moves the aircraft around a little doesn't it? Do you ever make any night approaches there, if so is it a little more challenging? That last little adjustment to the right to line up is interesting given the wind effect. Kepp the content coming and safe travels.
Thank you, even the smallest amount of wind keeps you on your toes. There is a hill either side of the threshold that churns the up the wind. During the winter months we do a few night approaches. However I have set myself certain weather parameters to determine weather or not to divert into Nice
Same size runway as my home airfield at Gloucester but without the howling mountain winds. And I ain’t never seen a Global land there - Very skillful 🌟
Thank you, I've been operating in and out of that airport for a few years now. It's always an interesting approach each time 😂
Merry Xmas Scott hope your back in 2024😊
Hope all is okay, Scott.
Hey Scott absolutely stunning landing buddy definitely working that yoke, I’ll definitely need to try this approach in my flight sim 2020 with the Citation Longitude. Hope you have a great weekend and safe flying buddy. Cheers 🍻.
Thanks buddy. During the winter months we do a lot of night landings. It's not too bad as it's generally nice conditions. On the bad days we would divert into Nice or Genova. On the sim give it a go with a nice 25kt crosswind.

10 out of 10 @Scott from the Ex-Pat Scouser, in Iowa.
Always appreciate your comments 👍🏻
Why the edit right at TD?
I have to get the nose wheel down quick to start breaking due to the short runway. Doing so there is a god awful thump on the mic when it touches down. Trying to avoid certain comments I know I would get
@@Scott_Barclay 😂 Understood! Completely.
Bit of a fight😅
This particular airfield is always the same, this was a calm day 🤣
What is the exact reason for the minimums ?
Hi Fatima, The "Minimums" callout is made at the minimum altitude, and this is the point that the Pilot Flying has to make a decision to continue or go around.
@@Scott_Barclay ok thank you for ur reply and it was a good video too 😊
Se cortou, teve catrapo...
I appreciate your input. 15yrs flying. I'm ok 👍🏻
Safe old gig.......get into the flight deck below 10,000'.......a bit late for the descent checklist Captain.....nice approach brief....NOT!!
I appreciate your opinion buddy 😊
