One of the joys of being a life long classical guitarist is finding something new, creative, and refreshing in the standard classics. We can count on Matt Palmer to set the bar in just about every piece he plays. From the Chaconne to Tarrega never a dull moment, a total original in the world of classical guitar. I'm hearing things in this performance I've never heard before, different lyrical lines and harmony. I think Matt's performance here might be the slowest/fastest interpretation I've ever experienced.
Man, I wish I could play like that. The dynamics, the spaces!
A very brave and beautiful rendition. You're my hero Matt!
I LOVE your version...LOVE IT!!!! It feels like you really see the soul of the melody, or the potential true soul, and you make the necessary adjustments so that it comes alive!!!!!!
Beautifully played.
Loved it.
Just great, Matt. Really gave me something to listen to. Creative, expressive, original.
To Michael Thames: Nice video-making! It's really coming along.
Absolutely wonderful!
Delicate, emotional and expressive…
Magnificent!
Beautiful played...so wonderful
Took me over a year to learn this song and i can play it 1/68th as good as you Matt!
Truly magical. Totally love it!!!
Muy bonito!!
Refreshing. After hearing it played the same by ten different guitarists, this is nice.
Just... honestly, for me it's great.
Damn this is good. Thanks, always loved this one.
Nice choice of a room.
YES! everyone plays it square ! this is it!
adel minkara
Square?
Luca Prospero yes i mean very square ... not rounded like he played it
adel minkara Interesting
Intense
More rubato!! (I kid. . . I kid). Great performance, and nice to see a slightly different take on this one.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
characteristically !!!
Too much modification for self satisfaction
IDK....you have to do the opening riffs as pull offs not slides. Loses the effect. imo everything else was pretty good. his chromatic run was Great!
A noble piece of music played by a magician
