Philippine Army Will Receive A Donation Of 12 AH-1S Cobra Helicopters From The Japanese Government

Still basing on this information that has complete records of AH-1 Attack Helicopters serving the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, Fuji Heavy Industries built at least 92 units of such type as it fully served the organization and has undertaken multiple upgrades, although that has reduced to 76 units in 2013, and further down to 71 units based on the recent 2022 data.
There are reports coming from fellow Philippine defense watchers on Twitter coming from legitimate sources saying that the Philippine Army may get at least one squadron or at least 12 units of the JGSDF AH-1S Cobra Attack Helicopters, although it may not be surprising if the Japanese government or the Philippine military, at their respective discretions, adds more units of the said Attack Helicopters.

perhaps you should read the history of Korea and Japan prior to the world war. The US only brought them together to impede growing threats of Communism from CH and USSR. Theyre NOT really besties. In fact theyre very competitive toward each other. And they became very powerful because of this competition, both (economic and military). And to help the US stop the communism in the area.

What the Philippines need is an icebreaker ship to be used as a supply ship since they can withstand being hit and if I remember correctly. There is an incident where they sunk a navy ship after ramming it when they were unable to move due to engine problem.

Philippines Armed Forces should also consider purchasing short and long range missiles since most of their Islands which China is trying to claim and threatened are too far from the mainland.. Long range missiles are perfect to defend those Islands by firing from the mainland Luzon and then the short range misisles firing from an Island to an Island.
