no restaurants - no big new pickup trucks - no big SUVS - no JEEPS - no potatoes chips - no Starbucks - no new car purchase over 25$K - buy at Aldi supermarket - no candy bars - no soda - no McDonalds - no smart phones (get only a simple plan with phone and texting for ~ 20$ month) - find the cheapest gas station - don't get a job with long commute - don't buy deli lunch meat (buy frozen turkey, or chicken breasts) - 1 vacation per year - (for those earning ~40-50K year.) These things don't lead to more life. Walking in the woods with out a cell phone is true freedom.
Well, you took the joy out of living by that. I guess all have to decide for themselves, where they want to economize and what they like to enjoy with the money saved. I'm for instance not taking vacations. But life without soda and potato chips seems awfully empty. I truly like those. Yours is just an example list. If someone truly loves ice cream or chocolate or fresh flowers, one should allow for the joy that brings in life. All in moderation. There's nothing wrong with celebrating one's birthday at a restaurant either. Just don't go every month.

Indeed. But only if you gave it away where it matters. When you give it away as luxury travels to the rich, you've wasted it once again. 3 years without tv or subscriptions. I use youtube with the ads and read second hand books instead. The internet and AI is ample for the rest of my research. Sold my car 8 years ago and life is better than ever. Still cant get upto 10k steps a day and that shows that most of us dont even need a car. Im trying to wear out all my old shoes (most of them good quality hand me downs) before I might consider buying a bike. A budget two wheeler is only when i grow old or if i stay in the countryside where there isn't any public transport. Working on creating more wealth through businesses. Enjoyed my life and most of the creature comforts in my teens and early adulthood. Now at 42, i'm a eco freak. Its just a hobby that turned into a passion. And i'm far happier than before.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I expected more. I already do these things. My car is 19 years old and in good shape. I purposely buy thrifted items first before resorting to the latest new thing. I keep my clothes for years and only replace them as things wear out. I do buy in bulk and preserve to prevent loss. I turn off the heat at night and invest in wool and Alpaca items to stay warm. I make hair products, toothpaste, and grooming hygiene products last 6 months to a year. I look for natural fiber clothes, which last longer. I only buy what is on sale unless I am completely out of that supply. I am not a big consumer by choice. Occasionally, I treat my family to a fast food dinner or diner meal out to break up monotony. We don't do high-end restaurants by choice except to celebrate birthdays. My daughter says I eat like a peasant, and I do because I prefer it, not because I have to. i retired at age 54 and live a life serving the church and the poor through my first 30 years living modestly (not arid) - just modestly.................
Spend only what is important to buy, it depends on the person's on how he can save money. Life is short, enjoy what you want to buy. We have only one life to live. Thank you for sharing a this tips.
My tips. 1. Learn to do your own tax return, maybe worth getting accountant to talk you through it once. A decent consumer website or TV programme will keep you updated tax etc Cycle to shops saves fuel, etc but also you tend to buy less and buy more essentials. Make your own but don't make it a chore. I recently made my own marmalade from the skins of two grapefruit I was about to throw, added pulp of two oranges some sugar and put it in a slow cooker for 4 hours, cheated at end and added a lemon jelly. - 3 pots of v tasty marmalade. Many other quick meals. Use up recipes - leftovers in a soup but add mild curry powder or herbs and dab of cream. Shopping list yes but also errands list. For 30+ years I have used an A5 book to jot down things I need/need to do (usually last years diaries). Sunday night make a list of things to be done and then group them together into one visit and treat yourself for being efficient - pastry, choc, coffee etc. Also make up sandwiches or ?? for lunch at work. Put tin of tuna etc and ryvitas in car tin beans for days you forget and can't be bothered to buy a lunch out and leave in bottom desk but some for days when you are in car all day. DON'T skimp or you will get fed and go to some cafe or dinner and binge! Enough for now.
These are fantastic tips! Learning to do taxes, cycling to the store, and even making your own marmalade-great ways to save and stay efficient. Thank you for the detailed suggestions!
@@WealthcodeHQ The marmalade I buy at the store is definitely a lot cheaper, than any I could make myself. Doing my own taxes have costs me enormously, as I was eligible for unknown discounts no one seems to know of. It might only work in 'simple' taxes, where you just have a job income. Being time efficient and not driving to and fro all the time: that really works. Also using what you have in your fridge.
LUCK is what happens when preparedness meets opertunity. MOST of the cost of ANY product is the packageing. The body on a car is only eye candy, the main parts are the drive train.
Thank you so much! I’m glad you found the tips valuable. Reflecting on past spending and making adjustments is a great way to save and make better use of hard-earned money. 😊
Great point! The idea is to balance saving with enjoying the present. Building good financial habits allows us to enjoy our lives now and still have security for the future. Thanks for sharing your perspective!
So guilty of many. Money wasters, glasses, lottery, impulsive spending, best not to go in-store, just to look. Bulk food buying, large van for one. Got out of debt was only the beginning, gifting is a burden....
I m a millionaire 65 yeara old. Ive traveled around the world. Dated a lot of women. My kids will inherent my money and probably blow it. I say enjoy the money now.
I sold my car in 2023 and now walk, use Amazon or ride share. I maintain my weight so my clothing needs are limited. I travel a lot I sold my house 2010 to be free of paying a mortgage . My housing is made up long stays in economical housing in the place I am visiting. Avoid trendy items.
It irks me to be charged for grocery bags after spending $200.00 at a store. I get even. I bring bags from another store and use them. I walk out of the place with bags emblazoned with their competitors name and logo.
Spend it wisely! Don't live for me, myself and I, for you'll never know true happiness and joy. Economize where wise, so you'll have some money to give to others in true need. There's a lot of serious need around the globe. A lot of injustice. You being able to use some of your money to alleviate suffering, is the most beautiful thing one can do!
Buying an over size house cost more and can be hard to resell because there are less buyers able or willing to buy at high price. I have seen several multi million dollar homes staying too long on the market, or getting sold significantly lower than their estimated value.
Transfer of wealth usually occur during market crash, so the more stocks drop, the more I buy, in the meanwhile I'm just focused on making better investments and earning more as recession fear increases, apparently there are strategies to 3x gains in this present market cos I read of someone that pulled a profit of $350k within 6months, and it would really help if you could make a video covering these strategies.
Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money or you could hire a financial expert.
Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2020, and I return at least $30k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.
'Carol Vivian Constable, a highly respected figure in her field. I suggest delving deeper into her credentials, as she possesses extensive experience and serves as a valuable resource for individuals seeking guidance in navigating the financial market.
There is nothing I need. I don't go to any store except the grocery store. No list needed, shop outside isles. Buy glasses on Zenni. They are the best. Lottery is a waste of time and money. I pay my card off each month. I don't drink anything but water. I don't buy many clothes. I don't subscribe to anything. My car is a 2005. Keeping it forever. You forgot the expensive coffee addiction that most people have. I myself have never had coffee. Waste of money.
It sounds like you have a great minimalist approach! Zenni for glasses, no coffee, and only essential shopping-all solid strategies. Thank you for sharing!

Start your working career after you finish your degree in your field. Start with a savings and checking accounts, in your name only. ❤ i notice how much I am wasting on soy milk, rice milk, coconut milk. When I can make a container of tea for the price of 2 tea bags and some sugar. I had to stop buying the other items
Thank you for sharing! ❤ It’s impressive how much we can save by cutting out small expenses like store-bought milk alternatives. Making tea or other homemade options can definitely help reduce spending on unnecessary items!
I agree. The idea of winning the lottery is tempting, but over time you realize that building a solid financial foundation brings much more security and peace of mind. Small adjustments in our daily choices and conscious planning can have a huge impact in the long run, without relying on luck. It’s about shifting focus and taking control of our financial future, thanks for your comment!
@@PeterVanDeMotter yes, I've heard that quite a few people who won the lottery (large or huge jackpots) regretted it. It put a target on their backs, hands out, etc. Most did not get the "happiness" or "security" they thought they'd get. Not every winners' results apply. (some were smart and used lawyers/representatives to cash in the ticket in winner's name)
Me long time ago i stop my subscription. And also when i do my grocery i always make a list.i only buy what i need not the want i do not have stock of foods although i dont drive car i used publis transport to do my grocery. Then its been 7year's now i do made list where my money goes everymonth.Because is much better when we have our own book keeping. Plus i do not buy branded because i could not afford it even if i can afford i will not buy because i know i will pay for the brand only. Roaming i do not used it Sir hehehe is very expensive when im at my country i will buy simcard in local. Infact in general we must live below our means because now a days life is very expensive.I will do more investment my land so that i can live it to my loving children ❤❤❤thank you so much Sir of your very good imformation about savings money ❤❤❤and lottery is nothing but business so me never buying that lotto i better put my money aside for other mportant things.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! ❤ Your commitment to budgeting, using public transport, and investing for your children’s future is truly inspiring. Living below our means and focusing on long-term investments like land is a wise strategy. And you’re absolutely right about lottery tickets saving that money for essentials or investments is often a better choice!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I completely understand where you’re coming from. Spending five figures on jewelry or a watch can seem excessive, especially when there are great options available for much less. It’s all about finding the right balance between quality and value!
When taxes go up, I spend less. When my income goes down, I spend less. This results in less, use of my car, more work in the garden planting, more time preparing my food, reading instead of t.v., learning how do repairs to my house.
I know k cups are pricey..but if you live alone like me,having a keurig can be more convenient and easier for me to use than the regular coffee pots are..and I only need to make 1 vup at a time ❤
Buy and cook my own food. I go out to eat only on special occasions, 2-3 times a year. I keep a very high credit rating. I haven't paid interest on a car loan since 1992! My vehicles last a long time, over 250,000 miles, and I drive them until they're shot. I never pay bank fees or interest on credit cards, either. I only buy clothes when a particular item wears out and needs to be replaced. My cheapTimex watch is 15 years old and keeps better time than a Rolex. I have found that generic and/or store brands are just as good as brand names and are much cheaper. Lastly, I keep a log of how many days in a row of not spending anything at all. It's a fun and frivolous way of being mindful of my spending habits.
Thanks for the clarification regarding generic and branded medication. I work in the pharmacy and some customers will never agree to generic but insist branded is the original even though they are expensive.😂😂😂 Total ignorance.
Thanks for sharing your experience! It’s interesting how misconceptions about generic vs. branded medications persist. Education on this topic can help people save money without sacrificing quality. 😊
You need to work or do something that reward you more than enough. A poor man cannot save himself rich. Start young and have goals: spiritual, physical, good human relations, hard work, good planning and self control. It takes about 20 years to make a good living. Enjoy your health and family. Follow your dream is just a dream. Accept that life will be hard sometimes.
Buffet is focused on the gain of buying power for the sake of it. He has little concern for the trappings of life. He only wants more and more buying power as if it were a contest. Why earn more and more buying power if you are not going to use it to improve your standard of living with nice things? Just live in poverty and earn nothing. Its the same result apart from healthcare. How much buying power does any one person need? I hope Buffet is going to help the poor to climb the ladder of success. With his accumulated money he could donate 80% of it and still be very wealthy.

Thanks for the good advice. Some of which I was already doing, but some that I had never considered. Again, thanks for sharing
LUCK is what happens when preparedness meets opertunity. MOST of the cost of ANY product is the packageing. The body on a car is only eye candy, the main parts are the drive train.
Very well placed indeed!

Interesting perspective! Everyone finds joy in different things, and for Warren Buffet, it’s definitely about building wealth.

Great point! The idea is to balance saving with enjoying the present. Building good financial habits allows us to enjoy our lives now and still have security for the future. Thanks for sharing your perspective!
Leave it for your kids or grandkids ❤
So guilty of many. Money wasters, glasses, lottery, impulsive spending, best not to go in-store, just to look.
Bulk food buying, large van for one. Got out of debt was only the beginning, gifting is a burden....

Paying for paper bags at shopping it all adds up
It irks me to be charged for grocery bags after spending $200.00 at a store. I get even. I bring bags from another store and use them. I walk out of the place with bags emblazoned with their competitors name and logo.
What good is money if you don't spend it!
You certainly can't take it with you and families will only fall out over it when your gone.
Great point! Oversized homes can definitely be harder to sell, and the maintenance costs really add up. Thanks for sharing this valuable insight! 😊
Good one, Sylvie!
Plus that big house is not good for the environment in any way.

Most people dream of winning the lottery, untill common sense clicks in. In this vidio Avoid the pictures, and concentrate on the words.

I believe 5 digit fees for a piece of jewelry & a watch is too much.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I completely understand where you’re coming from. Spending five figures on jewelry or a watch can seem excessive, especially when there are great options available for much less. It’s all about finding the right balance between quality and value!
Only get it, if you love it. Or leave it and not spend on it.
Great advice! Spending only on what truly brings joy or value is such a powerful way to save money and live intentionally.
When taxes go up, I spend less. When my income goes down, I spend less. This results in less, use of my car, more work in the garden planting, more time preparing my food, reading instead of t.v., learning how do repairs to my house.
Never pay full price for anything

Useful tips!
No online shopping will help you to save more...
Yes bring more.👍
You need to work or do something that reward you more than enough. A poor man cannot save himself rich. Start young and have goals: spiritual, physical, good human relations, hard work, good planning and self control. It takes about 20 years to make a good living. Enjoy your health and family. Follow your dream is just a dream. Accept that life will be hard sometimes.
The biggest waste of money is to not use it.
Thank you for sharing your perspective! It’s true-money is most valuable when we use it to improve our lives and experiences. 😊
This background music made me desperately want to switch off. Less is more
Buffet is focused on the gain of buying power for the sake of it.
No credit card purchases, use cash
