Dark Souls 2 is an action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Games. Taking place in Drangleic, the story of Dark Souls II begins with a human who has become Undead, a curse that does not allow him or her to die. To break the curse, the undead travels to the fallen kingdom of Drangleic and is tasked by the Emerald Herald with obtaining four Great Souls from powerful Old Ones.

The Nexus in Demon's Souls and the many tunnels of Stonefang, really all of Demon's Souls. The PS3 original tho, I'm not really a fan of the remake's aesthetic.

Honestly The devs Ruined The game in softs where they Filled the places with enemy, this game TRULY needs a whole Remake So people Wont overlook it
There is a special atmosphere hidden in certain places of fromsoft games. DS2 has it, Kings Field has it, DS1 and DeS have it in certain parts. It's a difficult thing to quantify. Like a mystical and forlorn quality.
The Lost Bastille evokes that feeling into me personally

This is a beautiful, deep, meaningful and misunderstood game. I feel like the From games are becoming more and more about huge epic boss battles and losing some of the deeply personal, existential and tragic themes that defined the earlier entries.
Unfortunately that is what a lot of people have asked them to become, with their constant complaints about ganks, and runbacks, ie: the actual game.
It all started with dark souls 3 in my opinion.
Thanks for this. DS2 SotfS is my most favorite game of all time and it's nice to see creative content of it though it's already 5years old.
I remember that I enjoyed playing DS2 for the first time but it was never actually as good as DS1. The older I got though, the more I fell in love with DS2 and now I can say that it has some of the best areas in the whole DS series.

Dragon Aeire is the most beautiful place in any souls game. Just wow.
As a bit of a wildcard, can I suggest the first Rage? Always found the landscape beautiful and the city especially is really haunting

Dark Souls 2 is like a unrefined juwel. Deep down in the mess that is Dark Souls 2, there is a beautiful game. You can catch glimmers of it in various locations like heides Flametower. So many cool Armors and Weapons, the most variety i think. So many neat little stories and places. Theres No doubt that its the worst souls game. But...i still have many good memories with it. Hopefully, one day, Fromsoft will remake this game. Not remaster it. With Miyazakis involvement. Keep the good stuff, overwork the bad stuff. Add all the amazing cut content. Better music, better Sound Design, better enemy placements. Give this game the respect it deserves. This game really has the potential to be better than DS3 and even overcome ds1 and id love to see it.
Anyone who says "No doubt that its the worst souls game." would have to have zero input into a remake.

In your opinion. You definitely seem to be in the minority here. Out of respect for the channel owner I'll refrain from leaving an aggressive comment towards you, but you're walking on thin ice (pun intended...maybe, since i'm from Eleum Loyce).
DS1 is unfortunately the worst game in the series, it handles too poorly to be anything else.
If only the game wasn't broken and it didn't have bullshit mechanics, might have been the best souls
