    You can knock it for it’s bugs. You can knock it for it’s technical issues. But you cannot knock it for it’s atmosphere! Truly amazing.

    • @Solaire_of_Astora13
      @Solaire_of_Astora13 3 года назад +4

      On most of the platforms it released, you definitely can when it constantly crashes, or throws broken ass systems and bugs at you. It just ruins the mood. You can't walk for more than 5 minutes before seeing something that breaks the whole feeling of the game and it's a damn shame...

    • @TheRealJackArthur
      @TheRealJackArthur 3 года назад +7

      @@Solaire_of_Astora13 agreed but I’d say the cyberpunk feelings is still heavily there. Unmatched by many other games like it.

      I think you can totally knock it for it’s atmosphere if the bugs and technical issues actually ruin the immersion and atmosphere for you

    • @TheRealJackArthur
      @TheRealJackArthur 2 года назад +6

      @@vafanapoli5396 I disagree. Minor visual pop-ins and lacking police mechanics, etc. aren't going to change the lore, music, audio affects and vibe. They just minorly hinder the gameplay experience. Same could be said about movies or any other form of media.

      Sucks that most of it is just set dressing and you can't really do anything outside of the main/side quests they practically nag you to do. I hope they actually take time to fix this game and expand the world, cause it feels so superficial and empty right now when you actually try to explore it.

      > cause it feels so superficial and empty right now when you actually try to explore it
      What exactly would you like to do there?

    • @amber9040
      @amber9040 3 года назад +2

      @@MrSparker95 In general... just looking around and seeing something interesting about the world, having some variation in different parts of the city, and finding NPCs with something interesting to say other than "uggh night city sucks" (yes that's pretty much what every NPC says when you interact with them). I tried just exploring areas without looking at the map for about an hour, and there really just wasn't much interesting. Basically everything remotely interesting is marked on the map, instead of being hidden for you to explore it. Kinda just ruins the fun of open world games IMO. You have to follow objective markers and the clunky GPS navigation to find anything interesting in the game, instead of being able to explore it for yourself, I've found. Otherwise, most of the actual open world is kinda repetitive and empty/filler content.

    • @MrSparker95
      @MrSparker95 3 года назад +2

      @@amber9040 > just looking around and seeing something interesting about the world, having some variation in different parts of the city
      For me, Night City is the most amazing virtual city compared to any game I've played. Those insane buildings, skyscrapers, with lots of detail to explore. Try and walk there without rush, look around, look up, especially in the city centre (corpo plaza or how is it called). If you don't find it fascinating, I really don't know what would impress you in a video game. I've spent several hours already walking there and I keep finding something interesting or nice.
      About talking NPCs, if you listen to their dialogue, you can find something interesting, although they started getting repetitive after some time, but not to the degree of same dialogue every time.

    • @MrSparker95
      @MrSparker95 3 года назад +2

      But really all this is subjective. I'm a fan of these futuristic city concepts, so I can stare at them for hours, I guess it's different for you. Also a thing worth noting is that you can't fill a city of such scale with unique high quality content in a game, I think it's not possible unless the game specialized exactly on this. Side missions somehow replace it in this game, they often have interesting locations with unique NPCs and dialogues built specially for them.

    unfortunately the scenes youve shown dont nearly capture the beauty of this game. Video compression when uploading certainly contributes to this. On my PC with an rtx 3070, graphics maxed out (no RTX) 1080p, the game's immersivity and graphics is jaw dropping.
