What inspires me to study today is because I want to overcome the fear of not directly understanding a topic, to step over this threshold of fear and looking my study goal directly in the face, I know I am capable of understanding.

    1. I LOVE Statistics and I find it interesting. So I feel motivated to study statistics.
    2. When I've studied something, I feel confident before my exams.
    3. A good study session gives me a fine sense of satisfaction.
    4. I feel happier when I've had a productive day.

what motivates me is myself looking at a topic and being confident about myself being able understand it despite how long I might have taken to learn it properly because it gives me that sense of achievement that the topic that I was feared so much is simply just a topic that needed me to spend a little extra time and effort to understand it better :)

    Notes
    1. **Set up your systems**
Habits can give you good results without effort
“Task dump”; write down everything you need to do, either those things that you are really going to accomplish and those you are not. This sets your mind free from worries.
You can chain a new habit onto an existing one.
Combine your new habit with something already in your routine and it’s more likely to stick.
    Journal, Notion, to-do lists...

    2. **Practice revision methods now**
If you don’t know how to revise, this is the perfect time to learn how to do it. Try things now while the stakes are low.
    - *Flashcards*
The process of creating the flashcards forces you to understand your notes first
    - *Blurting*
Take out a topic that you are learning and blurt out everything you remember about it; drag out as much as you can from memory and put it on paper. After you’ve done it, check out with your notes what you remembered correctly and what you missed.
    It’s a very active process.
    - *Try teaching someone*
Explain it to someone who has no previous knowledge of the subject.
It forces you to break it down into bite-sized chunks.

    3. **Create your study resources**
Create *now* what Future You is going to study from.
For example, make your flashcards *as you go.*

    4. **Understand the basics of the science of learning**
    - *The more active, the better.*
Teach yourself active revision techniques & get in the habit of using them.
    - *The forgetting curve.*
You can reset your memory by going over the same information at regular intervals.
    Spaced repetition.

    5. **Create the right mindset**
*Write down now: What motivates you & why?*
You can create a vision board or daily affirmations.

Fun fact: I just realized I made it a habit to watch one of Jade's videos before studying because it genuinely puts me in a study mood and motivates me.
For me, studying was always something horrible. It gave me a lot of pressure, stress, the feeling to study and do well for the appreciation of others. Now I feel like I am doing it for myself. I am learning to learn, learning how I work and I think these are the first steps in order to do well.
To be honest, Jade helps me so much in the process of loving to learn. She is showing me a new side of the learning process, the academic life, loving yourself, and learning about yourself.

    What motivates me to study:
My whole life I have been told that I have so much potential. Then I was diagnosed with ASD and people started saying that I'll never achieve anything and that I'm limited.
I want to prove to myself that I am capable, and that if I change my approach, I can reach my potential! I just have to use different approaches than most, and be more careful about burnout.
I've also always been very scared of the idea of wasting my life and my youth, so I have motivation from that haha
Just wanted to say thank you, Jade! I've been at some terrible schools and went into my A-levels having no revision skills and having taken no tests exams since year 8. Thanks to your videos and your book, I have become quite good at revising! I think it helped to not have any revision skills, good or bad, because I didn't have to unlearn any bad habits. I was a blank slate, and now I feel like my future has opened up again!

I wish you luck in all that you do, I’m from the states so I don’t know what A-levels are but they sound important so I hope you do/did crush them! Continuing education with ASD, ADHD, any neurodiversity is difficult especially if you don’t have supportive people in your life. Also remember there is no such thing as wasted time, even time not spent pursuing a goal is time spent pursuing something else. As someone who dropped out of college once and now is almost finished with my degree, that is the most important thing you can learn. No time spent is wasted time.

And watching videos like this years later got me to realize that I actually love learning, building my systems and being productive.
Honestly, everything motivates me to study, the fact that i love doing it, that it makes me feel super productive, takes me a little closer to my dream university and career. Write the dream/goal you're working towards on a post it note and stick it near/above the place you work! When you're demotivated, you can look at it and re-realize what you're actually doing this for!!
And please please remember to take breaks!! It's never easy or recommended to work/study non stop! You deserve the breaks you get!
Do this for future you. And for present you. Gear up and set your minds to it. I know all of you are meant for such great great things ☀️ make your dreams come true everyone, sending SO much energy, love and strength ⚡❤🌺

    What motivates me is:
    1. Doing something I’ve never done before (achieving an A) and proving to myself that I can do it, and becoming proud of myself.
    2. Making my family happy and proud
    3. Making the graduation project easy on me, because it depends on how well I know the materials I’m studying currently.
    4. Being good in my future job, because no one will teach me when I get employed. Quite the opposite they will expect me to know things already.
    5. Depending on myself financially and feeling powerful.
    6. Gaining a straight A from my friends experiences will open up more chances to find a better job and good opportunities very fast. For example, the employees in your uni will know you and you might get a job in your uni or get a job recommendation from one of them.
    7. Reprogramming my subconscious mind to do the things that I don’t feel like doing. And not be dragged by my emotions every time. That way I’ll be more productive.
    8. I want to gain new skills in the field I’m learning. It’s always good to have more skills. that will benefit you one day.

I study for the sake of others... I mean that in the most positive way possible. I struggled a lot, finding a "why" that actually pushed me to try my absolute best. I found that the "why"s I had before were all for selfish gain, which resulted in depression and procrastination. I later found that my passion was actually making people happy and taking care of them. Once I found this amazing principle "living for the sake of others," it pushed me to study harder than I've ever studied before, effortlessly. Studying became fun because I was able to apply what I've learned to help others. I find that I naturally push myself harder when others are involved or at risk. I genuinely love to learn how to love and help all. If you take that away from me, life just isn't worth living. And yes, I do take great care of myself (physically and mentally) so that I can take great care of others. If I am not 100%, I can't give 100%.

So, I started studying how to study first, that too from your book, and just ended chapter 05 before clicking on this vid. I seriously don't know how to thank you enough for this! sending tons of love to you Jade! You are inspiring!

I'm so grateful that I'm able to study and learn new things everyday, which motivates me the most. I don't take this for granted, because I know not everyone has the opportunity to go to their dream university and work on themselves to become who they want to be. Also the vision I have in my mind when I imagine myself in 5 years from now, or when I see some architects doing my dream job... All of this keeps me going, because I know I'm doing this for myself. To be better person every single day.

i want to learn as much as i can, it gives me genuine satisfaction to just know things. i also love getting good grades, however cheesy that sounds. i love getting a test back and getting full marks and answering questions in class and being known as the nerd. so yeah, it's a mixture of those two that keeps me going.

I've loved learning all my life - as a child, then as a middle schooler and somewhere up till 9th grade. The structured and rote type of learning that we all have to comply with in class 10 and 12 sort of muddled this love for learning. With the pandemic, I became more lost and had no track of my goals. 2021 towards the end was a sort of reclamation from that slump and your video has inspired me to make my last year of highschool the best one - especially academically. Thanks Jade!

Whta motivates me is the fear of not be able to live the life I have always wanted. I have taken my first step of moving to a new country for my masters' program. I hate the feeling of knowing that I could do something and get somewhere but did not just because I did not take that one step. Hoping to see this comment back after a couple of years and be proud of my current self. :)

The school year started real strong, and now the sudden change of weather and more stressful school environment because its midterm season is making me sad and anxious. I really am questioning why i'm here. I feel lonely, homesick, and uncapable. Thank you for your video, Jade. I really want to incorporate these habits and it's super inspiring to see that you learned all of this because of your own passion for education and becoming a better you and student. What is currently motivating me to study is the fact that it will pay off in the future and equip me with the knowledge of the world so that I can do what I want to do. It's really hard in times like this, but trying is what matters. I just need to show up to a study location and not let the anxiety of work get the best of me. What is really preventing me right now is the overwhelming amount of work i need to catch up on. But it gets better by doing, so that's what i'm gonna do.

    - I want to stay at uni because it's fun
    - teachers who are really sweet and great

I'm motivated to study due to the fact that studying makes me feel respected. You know everyone used to tease me for my looks but i worked hard and got really good grades. Now my looks don't matter, what matters is that I'm well educated and everyone respects me. I feel happy by that fact. Studying makes me understand the world in a better way. Daily affirmations are something I definitely need. I struggle so much with self-doubt that I end up with full-blown panic attacks when studying or before and during exams.
This video was so positive and I feel really helped. It's pretty insane that we spend our early lives going through education but are at no point taught HOW we can learn or different methods we can use if certain ways of doing things just don't really work for our brains.
I hope that someday I can pick up your book without feeling anxious as I do now about most things study/productivity oriented

Hey Jade!! I really liked your advice about binding your new habits to the ones which are already there , it makes a lot of sense and i'll start doing it from today. As a med student it is not really easy to find time to learn German but as i am watching your content about German language or learning overall i feel like it is not that hard when you know the little tips and techniques 🦋 And lastly from my personal experience to keep myself motivated is that accepting that motivation is and emotion that gets in and out of your life. When you feel unmotivated just accept that feeling, don't force yourself to be productive just go for a walk or meditate to free up your mind and trust me when you come back you'll feel much better! Hope that is helpful!! Take it easy on yourself, You got this 💖
