    I followed this pattern / tutorial all the way through. I have always been told "Trust the pattern, trust the tutorial." I wish i had added at least one more set of ribbed rows, because its just a LIIIIIITTTTLE short of my toddlers ears. Still super cute, her little ear lobes stick out, which isn't really that bad because it shows off her earrings, and i can always unwind the turban tie and add another set!

    • @RaisingNobles

      So glad you were able to follow the tutorial! Sorry it’s a little short, it definitely would be easy to add a couple more of the ribbed rows to lengthen it!

    This comes up in “women’s” hat. So I wish you would have taken the time to do an adult hat or at least give measurements of crown and depth. I’m frogging to the crown for a second time because it is too small. I searched for the pattern unsuccessfully. I think your increase instructions (2 111 21111 311111 etc..) were confusing. The # of rounds for adult would help out a lot. I do appreciate the time and effort you put into to this as stitch instructions are quite good. Not complaining just suggesting😊

    My first time doing a magic circle, it was hard to follow how you did this. I watched a different video on how to do that. My only question would be when you're done with your sizing rows, do you do one row of double crochet all the way and then go to the ribbing row? Or go straight to the ribbing row after sizing?

    Half way through the newborn size. I feel like it is awfully small for a newborn though. Particularly the upper portion. I’m going to finish this size to see for sure, but wondering if I did something wrong?
    Otherwise, super easy video to follow along with. I’m a beginner and had no issues! Thanks!!

    • @RaisingNobles
      @RaisingNobles  6 лет назад

      Hmm. What size hook did you use? Is it possible that you naturally crochet tightly? Some people keep the yarn really snug in their hook and it creates smaller work. Let me know how I can help!

    • @melissaevans9894
      @melissaevans9894 6 лет назад

      Kristin At Home I’m a NICU nurse, I guess I must crochet tightly because I’ve found that the 3-6 month pattern for me fits a small newborn (5-7lbs). Do you think a larger hook would help or should just make the hat larger for bigger sizes?

    • @destinimurphy398
      @destinimurphy398 6 лет назад

      a larger hook would help if your tension tends be be a little tighter. I wouldnt go up too big though, try maybe a 5 mm, or even try 4.5 if you can find one (they seem to be impossible to buy in the US, but i somehow acquired one.) I'm going to make a newborn size next, i made a toddler size and wish i had added another set of ribbed rows. But I'll let you know how it goes with my 4.25mm hook.

      Ohh I understand what you mean. So to increase the size, when you get to the part where you do a double crochet in one stitch and then one in the next around the circle, you would do another row of two in one crochet and then one in each of the next two crochets. Then even bigger would be two in one crochet, then one in the next 3 crickets and so on. Does that make sense?
