      It’s not that the NBA doesn’t give them opportunities, it’s just far too often these players get lost in a sea of long arms, tall dudes and hyper athleticism. Just the reality of the professional game sadly for players under 6 foot

    • @mezzb
      @mezzb 5 часов назад +6

      It's not opportunity - size really is the ultimate handicap in a league of giants. I look at Isaiah Thomas in 2017. The quickest player in the league, with the greatest handles, and the quickest shot release (with accuracy to boot). What he did that season was one of the most skillful seasons I've ever seen. When his injury took a notch off his quickness away, he was toast. with todays switching-defenses, it's much harder to hide a player. and a 5-8 guy who's not among the fastest in the league can be virtually ignored. So you have to be epic at the offensive end to make up for it. In the 80s-00s, it was easier to hide little guys on defense, just have them on the scrubbiest guard.

    He seems like a really great player, and an excellent 3 point shooter as well, but I do also hope that he manages to not get injured. Playing against 6 and 7 footers as a 5’8” player seems kinda dangerous.
