In sports, back in the 70s, 80s, and early 90s, it was the Great Black Hope for Black Tennis players, Black Gymnasts and Black NFL Quarterbacks. However, the Great White Hope was first adopted in Heavyweight Boxing back in the 1900s where no one could beat the African American Jack Johnson. Later, when Blacks took over Basketball, Larry Bird became the Great White Hope and he delivered. However, no White American, has been a Superstar in the NBA ever since. Clark is the first Great White "American" Hope to come around in Basketball ever since. Soon, it will be Cooper Flag. Most Great White American Hopes never deliver in the long run when it comes to the NBA, Heavyweight Boxers, etc. But one can only "Hope"

At first I had no idea WHY I love CC so much. I've followed women's BB for years and always enjoyed seeing FIBA games and the Olympics, but came to CC late. I really didn't start to notice her rise until this past NCAA year, when she was breaking every record in sight and her coverage went through the roof. Then I saw her interviews and biographical info and thought, what an amazingly poised, mature, well-adjusted, humble and modest young woman. I saw how she went from college star to international icon in what seemed to be overnight. Then she was saddled with the pressure of being the Savior of Women's Basketball, and the expected backlash of petty hate, envy, and criticisms started. She's weathering it with the same poise and maturity she's always shown, behavior that those who are criticizing her (who are much older and experienced so "should" know better) are NOT displaying.
I'm 100% behind her, and hope she has a long, successful, satisfying career, and an even happier life.

I'm a huge NFL fan, but I would watch CC over a football game.

I did just that - watch CC over NFL last Sunday. Now it’s back to football.

I just really admire and respect Caitlin Clark. I love that she puts in the work and even with all the pressure that has been put on her, she's pretty levelheaded.

C22 is on LOAN to Indiana from Iowa. Just to be clear. We're happy to share, but she's on loan.

Two seasons ago, I started watching the WNBA, but at first, it felt slow with too many missed shots, especially on what would be considered "easy buckets" by NBA standards. It made me wonder why I should keep watching when there are so many other sports to enjoy-NFL, NHL, NBA, G League, MLB, and even NCAA sports. But now, I've come to appreciate the pace and shooting precision of players like Caitlin Clark, Sabrina Ionescu, Kelsey Plum, and others. It feels like a great moment for the league, especially with rising stars like Caitlin Clark on the horizon. The WNBA needs to continue building on this momentum and avoid letting negativity or doubters within teams hold them back. If not, they risk sliding backward. After all, the NBA won’t continue absorbing financial losses forever.

I started watching because of Caitlin and as good as she is she was able to figure out the true talent of each player on her team and I fast became a Kelsey Mitchell fan that little girl is fast. Then you talk about Aaliyah Boston under the net she's an animal and then you look at Lexi Hall from the three-point line who knew. The fever has become a team thanks to Caitlin Clark and I think she would be the first to tell you she cannot do it by herself.

Female Stephen Curry. This is why it's so great to see her play. She has ball handling skills, 3pt skills and she can pass like Magic.

I love her parents and brothers without even knowing them. Her personality is so confident, intelligent, competitive, and humble all in one. The other players nor the media drew her mental toughness into there unnecessary trash talk and race baiting. What a dynamite family and woman. 👊🫵❤️
