Japanese way of thinking is significant too. The way of the bushido. They work INCREDIBLY HARD to perfect their craft and they carry a level of honor and respect typical of their culture. I'll be rooting for Yuki.

There's a big difference between Yuki and Julien Newman. Yuki is actually 5 ft 8 in while Newman says he's 5 ft 8 in but in reality Newman is 5 ft 4 in. Also Newman shoots like a lil girl. He has NO JUMP SHOT. He pushes the ball up there like a lil kid with NO ARM MUSCLES.

I haven't been this excited for a guy from overseas since Rudy Fernandez came to Portland. Love this kid's playstyle, and unlike Portland back then, Memphis now has coaches that can actually take advantage of Yuki. That being said, it could be tough for him to get minutes with Scottie Pippen Jr., Marcus Smart, and Ja Morant ahead of him. But it's never bad to have depth at PG!
If the grizzlies make sure to maximize and further develop his playmaking as well as improve his mid to 3pt range he would be a menace and a nightmare.
I mean to be fair, he is the fourth PG after Ja Morant, Marcus Smart, and Scottie Pippen Jr. who are all top tier PGs with NBA experience. He'll get his chances though, don't worry. Guys get traded around a lot so if Memphis does not end up using him then he may find a home elsewhere
@slaiin4069 Why are we bringing up Julian Newman? Lol. Julian newman 6 even at a d3 level of play. He's irrelevant to the conversation. Bringing him up in a professional sports conversation is silly. You need to compare him to other guards at a similar or high level like Isaigh Thomas, JJ Barea, Fred Vanfleet, Marquis Nowell, Tyler Ulis, Pierre Jackson, Kiwi Gardner, Acquille Carr etc.
@@edwardkimakaballislifekim_578 @edwardkimakaballislifekim_578 I'm not complimenting Julian Newman or saying he's on the same level as them at all. Did you even read my comment? I'm literally agreeing with you that he's an extremely low level player. That's why I'm saying bringing him up is kind of irrelevant. That being said, he is about a d3 level (He was playing and practicing with a D3 team right before he decided to go into RUclips.) Either way, he's not good and shouldn't be compared to Yuki, as its not impressive to be better than Julian Newman. You'd be better bringing up an actual high level undersized guard that Yuki is a bit better than like thh D1 point guard, Darius Mcghee, from Liberty University, who was the highest scorer in college basketball when he played. That would be a better comparison that shows just how good Yuki is. Even thoigh Darius was incredible, I think yuki is slightly better than him. See, that comparisom makes sense, because it demonstrates hkw gold yuki is by comparing him to another high level player. Comparing him to someone like Julian Newman is pointless because Julain newman isnt a high level player and is irrelevant. At best you could say he's on the level of a slightly below average d3 player, which is pretty terrible on the grand scale of things. That's amateur basketball. So using him as a comparison is kind of silly because he's not a high level player, and it doesnt illustrate the point you're trying to make to show how good yuki is. If you want to show how good Yuki is, compare him to an actual high level player under 6 foot that he might be slightly better than. That demonstrates much better how good Yuki is and is much more impressive.
He's great, but I feel like he's a bit overhyped. He hasn't produced like he has in the olypimics, and if he wants a spot he needs to improve his shooting and finishing. He's currently not producing on par with other under 6 foot guards in tbr league. I feel like there's other under 6 foot players in the overseas and in the d league that are currently playing betted than him as well and deserve a spot, too. That being said, I'm rooting for him, and I hope he makes it. If he can improve his shooting and finishing over the next future games and start to show a bit of that production like he had in the olympics, I think he will have a spot. His passing is great, but his shooting and finishing need ability need to improve from what they are currently if he wants to get a spot. He's already a defensive liability by being under 6 foot, so he needs to compensate for that by having perfect snd exceptional play on the offensive end. As an undersized guard in the NBA, you can not have any weaknesses.
@laxphitta1403 Why would you say that on a youtube comment? Lol. I dont think Kawamura is bad or anything. I'm actually rooting for him heavily, and I hope he does well and gets a spot. I just haven’t seen him produce like he was on the olympics, and I don't think he's currently on par with a lot of other nba gaurds under 6 foot. At least, he hasn't really produced like he is yet. But hopefully he will produce like he did at the Olympics. He's been passing well, but his shot has been a little rough. I think if he produces and shoots like he did at thr Olympics, over the next few games and thr future throughout the season, he can gain a spot. I'm rooting for him. I really am. I just haven’t seen him really produce at a level that justifies him havkng a spot yet. If he can improve his shooting and passing he can get a spot. You basically have to be perfect as an undersized guard under 6 foot
