All students should be required to take and pass a standardized exam administered by the federal government before they can apply for federal loans for their educations.
Leave then…find another job. I’d fired them if I was president. That’s how jobs work
It's not a small business, universities don't run the same way.
@@lfeb please explain, as far as I understand professors can be fired for reasons such as misconduct or incompetence, with tenured professors having the most job security but still removable under specific circumstances. Professors can also leave their positions voluntarily, for reasons like a new job offer, retirement, or by taking a sabbatical.
The UT President took action that the UCLA and Columbia Presidents didn’t take until it was too late. These protestors were disorderly, they chose to escalate. Other students have a right to education without interference and intimidation. Look around the country. None of these protests were peaceful. The UT Regents need to step up and support President Hartzell.
So the students 'right' to education (which isn't real or college would be free) is more important than the right to free speech?

As an alum, I support the University president. Faculty can go elsewhere. Glad DEI offices are gone.
