As this is the second ProtonJon compilation I’ve made, there is now a playlist that you can find in the description. There’ll definitely be more in there in the future. Also I have something very stupid and cursed coming out tomorrow. Next week, another group of smart animals heavily associated with a certain piece of food, only in a more urban jungle than this.
This LP must have been a MASSIVE headache for Jon to cover, given all the different versions of DKC plus unlicensed versions, the competition cart, bootlegs, etc. Makes for good comedy!
Oh shit, I didn't know you did Proton Jon stuff too. I just rewatched this LP in its entirety a little while ago, now I almost wish I waited for a compilation from you. This is such a legendary LP, and I said as so in the comments for the final one. I think if I had to sum up Proton Jon as a content creator, I'd either point someone to Superman 64 (while specifying when each video came out), or this one. This one because it shows how far Jon will go for a joke (and how much work he puts into his content), and Superman to show how dedicated he is both to seeing something through and also giving you a bunch of fun, interesting trivia. He's one of the greats, tbh.
6:40 - This level and the pirana equivalent in DKC2 is the reason why I will never replay those games again. The amount of headaches that DKC2 gave with its equivalent was too much every time you turn and you get flashed, and in DKC2 its hard not to due to how the level is designed to go back and forth, as well as being an underwater stage with a lot of different hazards that require dodging some of them.

This LP is a work of art.
ProtonJon: We should rewind back to the beginning.
**rewind noises**
Baby Jon: Wah! Wah! Baby Jon bored! Someone Fetch me a videogame!
(jon in the background)
NOT *THAT* FAR BACK!
*fast forward noises*
Jon: Move faster, Pokey...!
Real time Jon: *slow clap*
Oh hey it's the "MOVE FASTER POKEY!" guy
7:55 - Candy Kong is the Tawna Bandicoot equivalent that shows up in the first game, and never returns in the rest of their trilogy
This LP is legendary

Nintendo NEEDS to add the GBA versions of the DKC Trilogy to NSO.
