For the non-imagery-inclined, here's what I take from the visuals that accompany the song: A young girl, teenager in high school. She's facing the pressures of growing up, probably bullying at school, and feels isolated and alone. She feels safe in her room, her own space, but she's also alone and lonely there, even as she runs back to it when things become too much. Her mother is a source of love and support for her, comforting her when she's crying and lonely, making music together, watching videos on the laptop, then finally helping her get ready for graduation. The scene shifts then to what I interpret as funeral/mourning clothes, with the young girl - now an adult woman - sitting on her bed, holding a picture of herself and her mother, crying. Two friends come to comfort her and buoy her up in her grief, and she finds the strength to grow and leave to live her own life, packing up her childhood and directing movers to take it out of the room. She looks around a final time, saying goodbye to her past, and leaves, shutting the door. As someone who has lost my mother, this one hit like a ton of bricks. Why does this home so hard. It’s like looking in a mirror. When the mother showed up she reminded me of my grandmother that always looked out for me always keeping me company. I love my mom she a great person and no one can replace her but the closest to my heart ever since was my grandmother, I visited her grave yesterday and I couldn’t hold back my tears.11 years I still miss her so much. This song was amazing and I felt it in my bones. About six months ago I had to move away from everything I've ever loved and try to restart in a small town with almost no one my age around. Loneliness adding value in time sounds like how reclusive I've become as of almost a half year with no one but my family around to talk with. But the line that hit me the most was we need both sunshine and rain to grow. I have been in a low point for a long time because of the move and I realize now that I needed that to grow. You and other creators are what kept me sane and happy these past few months, and I am glad of what you have done in my life for me. First three lines and I was hooked! I normally just listen to your music, but I decided to watch the video with this one, and when she went from smiling in a graduation gown immediately to stone-faced in a black dress, I felt like I had been thrown against a wall. Then it continued, and her entire life up to this point was broken down, boxed up, and hauled out. I'm really glad that you had her leaving with a smile, remembering all the good that happened in her room there rather than focused on the loss. This was a really uplifting piece, Caleb! I loved it!

Man this storyboard paired with the music speaks a lot like moving on and out of yourself comfort zone in order to grow and it was a beautiful depiction of life as many of us would love to just say inside of our room and try to avoid the trials we will eventually have to face and get through them strong!

I immediately remembered the music from the album- clearly the animation is really cool! the tenderness of all your part, and the power of Jon... perfect choice, to be honest- and maybe like that I relate more to the music! an evolution that I'm... kinda afraid, tbh xD living all alone, with all the psychologic sickness that I have, and having to find a new home because of an art school in France, and having to find a way to have my meds, I'm... yeah. I 'm really afraid about that for the few years coming in few months for the restart xD but well... I will try my best! and this music remembers me that... trying to do my best!

None capture it quite as well, not because there is a perfect summary in these songs, but instead because there is enough space for our own lives to fill the holes and make it feel about our own.
