I think the 2019 GTS might have been a flop compared to years prior, so we'll have to see what 2020 brings us.....besides the Apocalypse every other day
And with this video... I subscribed. Hilariously awesome. And yes, I own a bottle of 2019 George T. Stagg, and yes, head-to-head both blind and not blind it loses to Stagg Jr. Batches 12 and 13 all the time. Some people can tell you how the GTS is better, but they have much more refined palates than I do.

The ranking makes total sense... OF is about 4-5 yrs old, GTS2019 was the least awesome bottling of it, B518 is total Ghiradelli Chocolate Fudge Caramel Cherry Brownies (my favorite batch), and I've heard the Batch 13 of Stagg Jr was amazing (didn't get one). Entertaining as always. Cheers!

I almost agree on ur blind tasting . Side by side on blind test my 3rd was ECBP917 bcoz it was a bit harsh on palate but it really has amazing buttery , oaky , sweet flavour and long finish , 2nd was Stagg jr 63.2% bcoz it has good kick on ur nose and palate and does not burn ur mouth like ECBP and on 1st place was GTS 2017 with more complexity on nose and palate and medium to longer finish than stagg jr. but if i taste them with some drops of water it makes really big difference . but any day i would drink stagg jr or ECBP as daily dram both r great . GTS is on another level and its price really sucks in secondary market.

This was amazing. I've always wanted to try the George T. Stagg, but the only bottle I've ever seen was marked $500, which is dumber than a box of hair. I do however own a Stagg Jr. batch 13, which I purchased for a measly $69, and it is amazing. I shall cherish it as long as it shall live...until something better comes along 😅 Batch 14, where ya at???

I’m newer to bourbon but Elijah Craig small batch is my $hit. Still haven’t had barrel proof though. My favorite bourbon so far is Old Forester 1920, no question; Tastes like I gargled with Toasted marshmallow on a banana nut bread dessert 🤤🤤🤤🤤

Belle Meade small batch sour mash whiskey straight 90.4 proof is just same or better tasting old forres has almost a overwhelming clove taste to me Belle Meade is so smooth try it

i've heard a few times that the 2019 big daddy stagg was beaten by little stagg jr. sounds like they switched the bottling lines (wouldn't that be funny, i know they are probably not barreled even in the same season) or just wanted to throw everyone a bone and release a killer, slightly more available bottling.
I've heard the same...its just the low abv on the big Stagg that is hurting it in blinds

1st: GTS 2019
2nd: ECBP B518
3rd: Stagg Jr. #13
4th: OF SiB BP
