Can someone explain why on 7:01 Jobava didn't bishop takes a7 and if magnus takes his bishop, jobava retakes with rook. All while supporting the A pawn. Respectfully, 1000 player.
Well f3 pawn was weak plus he thought king would be safe there (of course he could play some other move but it was also fine cause he had counter attack on d5 pawn after)
Lots of dumb comments about Jobava's appearance by the cavemen here. He is widely regarded as friendly and awesome, has a rich, personal play style, is rocking the pink hair, and for God's sakes is approaching 2700 FIDE and just drew the World Champion. Respect from the USA.
4 minutes on the non-thinking part of qgd, could've shortened it to 1 minute. The rest of the game required thinking so their time use is up to them in that part

Many players kibitz a bit after the game. You can observe the identical behavior in other top GM games.
You can hear Jobava say “can you repeat that” at the end of the game. Magnus snatched a pawn out of nothing in the endgame.
Magnus so good pressing many would have made draw earlier but he constantly finds ways to play on.

Drawing with the Black pieces is common at all levels of play. Magnus shows us best how to win with them.
Baadur jobava is magnus cryptonite, Baadur is the best in midgame, but very weak in time pressure.
