They changed the marching style. Honestly it looks better. It's more similar to the russian one than chinese.
But it's interesting they used chinese style uniforms tho

It is Chinese version of T-72 (Type 85-III or Type 90-IIM) hull and chassis to, just watch north korean tanks before 3-5 years back. They make some upgrades on old T-62 and now on T-72. Especialy watch turrets and wheels, main guns(2A46 from T-72) They are still old soviet era tanks. But ofcorse, they still can do their job.

These are brand new designs most likely based on the Chinese VT-4 and also incorporating technology from T-90 and its speculated that DPRK has purchased samples of M1 Abrams from Iraq as Iraq and DPRK have quite warm relations regardless what western twats may want to portray it as there is a very close military cooperation with Syria, Iran, Iraq and DPRK specially in missile technology which the DPRK is second to none in the entire world, if you cannot go to America or Russia for missile tech you go to the DPRK.
Its got extra roadwheel compared to T-62 and even T-72 so all those idiotic and pathetic speculations on whether its just an upgrade is rather sad, these so called expert said the same thing about previous generation DPRK tanks, but these children forget the DPRK has been designing and manufacturing tanks for well over 50 years now.

I'm pretty impressed with what they were able to make in such short time despite having almost no money and so much sanctioning. They've literally gone from 1970s style infantry equipment to early 2000s within 2 years.
@Hans Blitzkrieg Well for now its just for show, unless we start seeing the guys at the DMZ start getting new uniforms as well as border guards or other military units being photographed from afar or in secret. But North Korea isn't know for making things just for show, normally their parade equipment is real or at least a mock up of a future weapons system still in development. But yes, 90% of their armored forces are Type 59s, T-62 clones, and some garbage 1960s style armored cars and their air force is mostly MiG-15s and bi-planes. That said, infantry equipment isn't too expensive and it isn't out of the question that they might be able to modernize all their soldiers' personal equipment very soon.

Because of what the tanks? The tanks are likely old Chinese built or Korean built Chinese designs with skin over top or at most outdated ERA which won't help against modern tank ammunition or anti tank missiles. I doubt these could even compete with the M60s the US national guard had two decades ago.
That's what they want you to think. They gather all of their most advanced equipment at one place while the majority of the army looks more like a 1960s Soviet Puppet state. Those MIG29s at the beginning from the 1980s, and unlike most other MIG's they probably haven't been updated.

Мне было интересно смотреть на своего Отца в парадной коробке, чеканящего шаг. Восточные нации очень падки на разного рода показуху - этот парад не исключение.
