thank you for sharing this dialogue! I studied with Ivo in Bolzano and everytime I listen him speaking I learn something new and remember how much I still have to grow. He is a great example and a great inspiration, not only because of his knowledge, but because of his attitude to life. He is very humble and always ready to help us student to grow and follow his steps. I learned a lot about articulating my thoughts when I wrote the thesis paper with him. I love him! Thank you again for sharing this conversation for free. I hope one day you will payed a lot of money for your work!! You deserve that!!
Thank you very much for your kind words! I agree on Ivo. I was his student, too. When were you in Bolzano and where did you end up? All my best wishes to you
@@JohannesNiederhauser I'm still I'm bolzano, I'm a native south tyrolian!! When did you studied in Bolzano? your face isn't new to me! I ended up nowhere, I'm continuosly trying to begin. I wanted to teach too, but then I realized I needed to learn who I am and what is the world in which we are living before I can teach something, therefore I decided to continue my journey as an independent student. I'm trying to learn also the meaning of art and painting by actively being involved in it. I wonder why philosophers were so attracted by symbols and the estetic experience, therefore I'm trying to understand the truth behind it by making art. Many people say the truth is simple, but I still can't get it. In any case I learned that I was closing myself behind a wall of structure and difficoult words and was angry because noone understood me. I simply realized that I was isolating myself in my own labyrinth of thoughts and language. Now I'm trying to open myself to the world with more simplicity, for this reason I'm sharing my experience with you. It is more honest and authentic then simply using difficoult philosophical terms. In the end we understand one with another just by looking each other. Where and what are you teaching? I wish you the best too, dear friend!!
Sacred Geometry Music I was in Bolzano from 2008-2012. I’m in London where I teach a bit of philosophy at Birkbeck College. And I run philosophy events and teach privately. People can also support my work on patreon. There’s a link somewhere here in the about section to my patreon account. I might be back in Bolzano some time next year. I’ll let you know. Also perhaps there will be an opportunity to collaborate at some point
@@JohannesNiederhauser I would support you if I had a work which gives me money! I'm lucky that I live with my mom and that she provides me food and what I need. In the end, I think this is the meaning of tecnology, to have a base and the condition to grow and work on one-self, and dedicate the life only on personal growth. As an utopy I see this possibility for the future! People using the liberty granted from the wellbeing produced by technology, and not being enslaved and being automatons and part of the technological machine. In this utopy people have the possibility to explore and question the limits and the power of the mind and consciousness! I would be glad to collaborate with you, let me know when you're in Bolzano. See you soon!
Is of course of Latin origin, but that is not unusual in English. Pose, compose, composite, oppose, juxtapose, suppose, transpose. "Repository" could also be an alternative to "standing reserve".

Illuminating talk. I loved the ending, we got to great lengths to prevent confronting our confusion.
Thank you very much indeed!
Has "Bestand" never been tranlated with "deposit"? It would fit with "posit" and then "position" etc. Could be an idea....

Very interesting talk but uneven, (sometimes hard to understand) voice.
