Rojão was a beast I miss those days when he was on his prime… He’d make everything look so easy that makes u want to go to the gym and try it out lol 😂 only to realize it’s not that simple and he’s probably the best to ever do it and that’s why it looks so easy for him 😂
@@jiujitsean2140 Do I need "glass"? Clearly, at :02 he has his hand grabbing his pants. Look, if you don't know much about this stuff, it's ok to ask questions. But you blatantly putting out misinformation isn't helping anyone.
@@jiujitsean2140 You do realize that he has two arms, right? Roger's left hand is clearly visible at the beginning of the 2 second mark on the front side of his opponents gi pants during the middle of the sweep. It's clear as day. Literally watch his opponent's stomach while Roger pulls him on top of himself. You can see Roger's hand, thumb, everything clear as day. His arms are not connected at all. Roger's right arm goes over this opponent's shoulder/arm and this other hand grabs the pant area right at waste level.
2 months later… you got it now? Danaher goes over this in his half guard RUclips clip too. Definitely going to be trying to add this to my repertoire too. Seems hard to stop if done right.
That's why he's the best! I've constantly search out Roger's instructionals, always makes me better!
I trained with Roger and his father In Birmingham and he's the best
I'd say Gordon Ryan is now but Roger is one of my favorites of all time.
I need a tutorial on this sweep asap
Simple and beautiful.
It may not work every time but when it dose it's beautiful to watch
OUTSTANDING WORK ROGER ! RESPECTFULLY ANTHONY
GOAT
Beautiful
Just seen this sweep for the first time
doing all those back rolls will finally benefit me
Brilliant escape
I didn't see it coming and I watched this video twice
Simplesmente o melhor de todos
octopus guard sweep backroll basically
He's got a kamura grip on the arm you can't see, that gives loads of upper body control and leverage as well as the leg sweeping motion.
You can clearly see his grip on his pants.
Dude it literally says control the BELT and sleeve.

More important detail is kimura grip

Inverted sweep landing with the kimura
O cara é brabo oss
Name of the oponent? I am trying to find the whole fight video.
Opponent is Bruno Bastos. Match is from 2009. It's a good match too. Bruno is no pushover and he swept Roger as well.
I hear Renata Larange in the background
What's the name of this sweep? And does he have a Kimura grip on the arm we can't see?
I think this is the first actual sweep I've seen from half guard
Check out the John Wayne sweep
Que buenaaa y que bonitaa❤❤
Top 👏👏
He off balanced with the hooked leg and then swept/rotated with the other leg while he was off balanced
Bravo
Eddie
wait… doesnt he have a kimura grip on the other side?
No. He has his right arm reaching over, but his left hand is grabbing the pants. There's no kimura grip locked up there
I see. Thanks
Can someone pls explain the mechanism behind this sweep?
the same as shaolin sweep
His full name is Gol D Roger Gracie.
Underrated
Crazy simple? 😂
Coin Sweep
So the finishing mechanic is a bit like a flower sleep?
I would thinks in between a waiter sweep from deep half and a shoalin sweep.
I agree it’s more like a shoalin sweep
Showwwww
The shaolin

Literally could have just done a normal bridge in this situation but ok that works too
Glad you know better than Roger Gracie
This video cuts too short and suddenly
Dom thats a kimura grip
no it's the belt and the sleeve
Americana engatada raspa facil
Tv Feliz até q....kkk
I think my definition of simple is different
There is nothing simple about that
Easy yeah... For roger himself lol
agreed.. for me it was hella hard to do
Not for beginners 😅
yeah it's simple and easy for those who are so strong
It’s defo not crazy simple. It’s roger Gracie executing the sweep man
its so simple a baby could do it
BS..very hard sweep. Need great technique, strength and power.
seems a bit bjjscout-y to me....
