Thanks for highlighting the new additions to the PS Patch Designs shop because I totally had to go and grab the Yukon Cornelius and Yeti patch set. He has a lot of super fun designs!
They actually had one via their design article that I commented on. But they said they really just used the material to test out the pack. But it never saw production. I would have bought that in a heart beat
Great video! A little late to the game getting one but just got my white one this week. I really pulled the trigger as I don't have an MR bag and wanted to get this one before they stop making MR for commercial consumers. I like it a lot even though I have only packed and carried 1 time so far. Still trying to figure out the use case for it as I use the Griffin 2 release for work. I think this will be my weekend Hiking/Dad Bag when I don't want to go black with my GR M23. I dig that Titanium patch! Very cool.
Funny... I was toward the end of your video jotting down my own thoughts on the 1.0 when you started putting words to my thoughts as though it were a text to speach feature. Actually kinda freaked me out. Lolz 'Carrying various MR packs over the years as small as 15L and up to 107L on the regular, I've found the Dragon 1.0 fulfills a roll I didn't know I needed until I picked one up' I've finally put words to quantity that niche for my own reference. Corny as it sounds... EDC+. And I know you know what I mean now. Basically, a passible travel size with some serious capability. For my use case being about as remote as one can be for half the year, that OG(ish) Dragon accommodates the average EDC accoutrements, in addition to emergency medical kits and space eating Arctic gear, all while being able to stowe under the seat of a 737 (never had to use overhead storage), on board prop planes not having to be packed in the tail, and close at hand on helicopters and hovercrafts. Packed out, it's riding the bleeding edge for size acceptability under some seats in 737s, but still absolutely doable as long as the Stick-It isn't also packed to capacity. Move up just a bit to a packed out 3DAP, and you're over the line. A note I'll make on the side pockets of the 1.0 that 'everyone doesn't really enjoy' - When it's packed to capacity, it's SO nice being able to rip that hydroflask and drop it right back securely in place on the move without having to force it, as seen on the 2.0, or having to remove the pack to fight it in place. Wouldn't mind a white 2.0 for my Arctic excursions just for the cool factor, though. That'd be sick.
Weird. I was just modifying my Dragon 2 pack a bit and saw your video. GET OUT OF MY HEAD! :) I prefer the tri-zip on my Unicorn 2, and really dislike how the beavertail loosens if you have any pouches attached to the PALS channels, letting a jacket or whatever slip out of it over time. It's not reliable. I found using Nite-Ize short cable ties provides sufficient friction so this doesn't happen, but it's such a pain. Great video. Keep 'em comin'!
Thanks for another video on this hefty hauler. How’s the carry between the two? I’m wondering where the original was manufactured. I’ll bet Montana judging by the price. Also thanks for the mod outsourcing channels. Should come in handy because I just ordered mine yesterday. Who’s legs do I have to break to get my hands on one of those titanium patches; because I’ll do it 😮
Great final review. I initially bought the 2.0, used it for two trips and week in the office and decided it wasn’t for me. Too narrow for packing things and packing it falls over, stick it removing vs. tucking, and small harness just made me just sell it. Love love my Cerberus and will own it for life but just think they missed the mark a bit.
@@JBOutside1 I mean, you know how it goes. After I said all that, I will probably buy another one in a couple months wanting to try it again for a specific reason LOL
I love my Dragon 1.0 and 2.0. IMO, the 1.0 has a bit more "it" factor to it. Taylor put a lot of thought into the design and materials. I also like the way the 1.0 looks empty. The MR collabs are my favorite as they tend to be refreshes of older designs and fun materials vs. old designs and new materials.
White dragon2.0 here. I bought this for my travel backpack/snowsport bag. I was dissapointed with the smaller capacity but still really like the bag... can you fit 3 TPC8's in the main cavity? they seem to be a better fit than larger 10L like GR or Patagonia

Those are some cool patches!
Fantastic video buddy! love seeing them both loaded out next to each other. That dragon 1.0 was packed to the gills.
I've been waiting to do that comparison for a while now! Thanks for the push Phil!
I wish that they added a multicam black Dragon 2.0 just to pay tribute to Dragon 1.0
That would have been cool!

That’s a great choice! The titanium patch is the best! And you’ve got a great line-up! 👊🏻
@@JBOutside1 Also have an Ultra GR1 26l Kaidan coming today. I think I am set!
Nice final review. now i need the dragon 1.
It is a great bag, no doubt...you need one!

Nice! Great feedback. Lots more planned and on the way

Haha, well you'd have to find the legs first!

just got my 2.0, absolutely loved it
I can see those points…but I’m a huge fan of this one. That Cerberus is a superstar too!

2.5. So not 3 full ones
@@JBOutside1 helpful, thanks!
The 2.0 might be a better EDC pack, but the 1.0 is a way better outdoor pack imo. It just depends on what you're looking for I think.
Totally agree! It depends on what you’re going for.
