Great review! I appreciate the honest insights about thecamera. Your tips on using it for beginners and as a secondary camera for time-lapse are really helpful. Thanks for sharing your experience!
I'd love a side-by-side recording. Set the camera on a tripod, with the iphone next to it on a tripod. Shoot video of you talking, just like you are now, using both cameras at the same time. To make it even more interesting, you could switch the iphone for a 35mm, and/or line up all three side-by-side. I'm wondering if this would be a good camera for an indoor, starting vlogger. I noticed many times they use the bright ring light. What fun, to choose what you want to try- an early Christmas present. 🎉 [The top reminds me of my Canon in 1977]
I remember buying my first camera with my Dad. No, it didn't take video! I wish I had a camera like this way back in 1984 through all pictures I took of my now 32 year old twin daughters. Oh, the rolls of film I had developed for perfect 🎄Christmas picture of my girls.📷 Joan
I forgot to ask if the battery was "fresh" because a low battery can cause problems, as you know. Also is that a fake hot shoe on top- is there an external flash you can buy? 😊❤
That would have been a camera that I might have carried with me at work...construction. It would have come out to document some aspect of the job then tossed back in the case and in with a pile of tools. What kind of battery does it use?
Honestly, the pictures are looking ok. To anyone like me, who is just starting out and looking for a camera: For $180 you can get a used, but still decent MFT body. Pair it with a used lens, which can be bought from $50 to $200 and you'll get much better results and have more fun taking photos. Even with "entry level gear". I think this is more of an expensive toy you'd give a 12 year old to play around with.
Doesn’t look like a camera I would purchase. I am sure there is a market for it. K & F makes some quality accessories and filters. I particularly like their BH28L ballheads. I have two of them. I also like looking at the camera backpacks they offer. Would love to see one of those backpacks or do a review of one
The question is, who is this camera intended for. If someone is into photography in any way beyond a cellphone, they would already have a Sony/Noink/Canon etc. maybe even a micro four thirds. This tells me this is intended for an entry level, and for that, we already have the cellphone. I would rather spend $180 on K&F accessories, not this thing.
The images coming out of it look better than I thought they would.

Good question...
probably ...
The battery was fully charged. It does have an onboard flash, but I never use one.

interesting point
Fair point. I think you can tell from my review I was a bit underwhelmed. :)
