I appreciate how you broke down the different appliances in this video. I’ve been using Astirna New Tab to keep track of my to-do lists and it’s made my dental practice a lot more organized.
I so wish you were in San Diego. I am having such a hard time getting a new night guard to replace the one I had for 10 years. No one here seems to have the knowledge and passion about night guards you have.
Why is ear ringing listed exclusively as a TMJ issue? I have read many cases where tooth inflammation or clenching/bruxism with no TMD was the cause and once addressed the ringing resolved.
There could be many causes of ear ringing. But this is a webinar on TMD and many people have ear ringing when the condyle is retruded. A lot of professionals in health care are not aware of that. But many of the patients I see for TMD have ear ringing or fullness and when the ringing is caused by their joint, once the condyle is held in its correct position (with an appliance for example), the ringing resolves.
@@dr.agathabis Thanks for the reply. That's an interesting finding. Does that apply if the condyle is only slightly retruded? My beam readers report indicates normal findings across the board with one expection, left condyle is reported as "central to slightly posterior in the fossa".
@@jasond4752 the condyle can be slightly retruded and still cause ear symptoms. I have patients that are just slightly back and have tons of symptoms. It all depends on the person. There are obviously many other reasons for ear ringing but condylar position seems to be high on the list of causes.
