What if you are both a grinder and a clencher?
All thanks to DR.UWENBOHERBALHOME effective solution to Dry mouth and Bad breath smell from stomach naturally..❤❤❤❤
Meanwhile mine went away after weeks of using the herbal ear treatment from dr Liam ogbebor herbal centre on RUclips , 😊😊00
I started this ear fullness and high pitched hissing in the left and intensifies when clenching. Orthodontist told me its from stress clenching, as I went through a very stressful health scare a few months back. He did not take an x ray , but said since my jaw doesn't stick it's probably just inflammation, and he recommended I massage it myself and use hot towels on my face. I hope this works, it seems too simple of a solution though !
I believe this is the cause of my calcified stylohyoid ligament. Is there literature to back this up? Definitely makes sense in my case. My daughter is a dentist and said my mandibular tori is the worst she has ever seen due to bruxism.
Just curious… Have you thought about taking all your research and debating the Doctors who have said that root canals are toxic and cause many ailments???

Yes you can. And thank you for commenting
@@dr.agathabisI ve grinder and clencher as well . I don’t which one is more serious. Do one night guard can help? or I need two ?
@@heyyou8103 one is fine but the design of it needs to incorporate what’s called “anterior guidance”
I so wish you were in San Diego. I am having such a hard time getting a new night guard to replace the one I had for 10 years. No one here seems to have the knowledge and passion about night guards you have.
Thanks so much for the comment
I have a abscesed tooth its an upper right second premolar. Dentist wants me to get root canal amd a crown. I said i want an extraction. They spent 20 minutes trying to sell me on a root canal. They said i would risk endocsrditis if i had it pulled. What do you think?
it's impossible to give you input and recommendation without detailed x-rays and possibly a CBCT
Hey Dr, is a facebow from the pt's mouth more accurate compared to the mounting plate when mounting these cases? I've never used the plate before. Only facebows. I mainly design digitally, but my Dr loves to see cases mounted on a Stratos 100. Thanks!
yes, a do use a facebow quite often and would advise it. Many dentists don't use the facebow so I didn't include it in this video. In addition, facebows vary between articulators so that would be additional information that isn't included in this particular video. Glad to hear you are mounting the cases in your office! And I love to hear that you are digital as well! Thanks for commenting.
Bless your heart because you blessed mine with getting the anger from seeing that documentary away

Hello Doctor I am 15 yrs old and I had a question regarding teeth extraction for braces...so it's been 7-8 months since I got braces and my dentist seems to be stuck on extracting my 4 canine teeth I told him to just cut my teeth but he said it won't be enough and told me to come to a conclusion before the next appointment. What should I do ?
Great question. Have you considered getting a second opinion? It would be difficult for me to comment without seeing details of your case but consider getting another opinion from a local dentist or orthodontist to see if there is another way.
Thank you so much am nearly convinced this is what I have after 9 months of suffering. It worth mentioning that I had a very tough 2023 psychologically with extreme anxiety and unbearable stress and this is when I noticed I clinch my jaws so hard and grinding out tapping my teeth it’s actually later i learned these are due to severe stress. I don’t have pain in my jaws but they click very hard when I chew or open and close my mouth specially on the left side where I have this horrible left ear discomfort that I can describe as sometimes fullness or a low pitch noise and when I clinch my jaw the noise gets more intense and also when I push my finger against the exact spot where my upper left jaw connects withe the ear. I find it funny and sad that none of the ENT or the GP had the slightest idea that this could be the reason. Finally I do suffer from hearing loss on the left ear but am sure it’s the jaw joint dysfunction that causes the ringing in one ear. Thanks a agin.
thank you for commenting. It's important for others to know that people suffer with this and it's a real issue. A lot of patients get dismissed by their healthcare providers when they don't know what's causing it so it's important that you share your story with others so they can relate.
Here's a question; I put my mothguatd in really hot water before bedtime, and woke up with a different bite. Now I'm biting hard in the front (I have thr articulating paper) and my molars are barely touching. Should I stick with that, or get my dentist to change my mouthguard?
I am confused why the hot water made a difference. Your night guard should not change shape when placed in hot water.
you should get that checked because it seems that the hot water is changing the shape unless this is what was intended. If you are a clencher only then this is the right one for you. If you are a bruxer/teeth grinder, then you definitely want to have this adjusted to have more support in the back.
@dr.agathabis That's what my dentist recommended. I had to get it adjusted like once a week and he told me to just soak it in hot water before bed.
@@ds74878 you should tell your dentist that your bite changes and have them check it again just in case
How long will it take to heal after the TMJD has been resolved?
everyone is different and it really depends on the cause as well as the degeneration. Some get better very fast (days) others take months. It's a big range.
By the time I'm about to fall asleep, I find that my inner cheek finds its way between my top and bottom teeth, leading to cheek biting. Is there anything out there to protect the inner cheek?
Typically, when cheeks get in between, it means that there is not enough overlap between the top and bottom teeth/nightguard. So basically, the nightguard needs to be adjusted. If it's a lower nighguard, then the outside part needs to be brought in more so the upper teeth stick out more than the nightguard and protect the cheek from getting caught.
@@dr.agathabis Very interesting! Thanks!
what if you clinch and also grind your teeth?
if you grind then you are still a grinder
@@dr.agathabisso if your both does the anterior guidance help resolve the clenching?
@@dissizyeezy5517 typically the anterior guidance helps reduce clenching
@@dissizyeezy5517 unfortunately not always. It really depends on many factors most of which would need a thorough assessment of your occlusion
Thank you for this!
Hi Doctor, very good video. I recently got a new Max splint, this one has caused a click in left TMJ, some TMJ discomfort after a week. Not completely sure but I am guessing that new one is thinner on occlusal. This one was 3D printed. The last one, another dentist did bite registration and didn't have me close completely to get correct height. I have never had TMJ issues prior to new splint. What are your thoughts? Will be calling for appt. Thank you
Hi and thank you for commenting. If you are feeling a click after wearing the splint, it's likely that the splint makes you bite down on it with the lower jaw being posteriorly positioned (retruded). Clicks typically happen when the lower jaw is pushed too far back. Check that and if you feel that you can't bring your lower jaw forward on the splint then it should be adjusted so that you can bring the lower jaw more forward. Check out my video "Why does my jaw click" to explain that as well.
Thank you so much for the prompt reply Doctor. I made an appointment for tomorrow. Have a great day! Thanks again.
I grind more with night gaurds and grind through them. What other options do you recommend?
You may need a deprogrammer type of an appliance instead
I had this scenario yesterday/today. I contacted my dentist, and his advice was MUCH like yours. Don't leave it out, even if it doesn't hurt, because of the tooth spacing. He was out of town for a week, and referenced me to another office that got it solved for me.
That's great. And thanks for adding a comment
Does this help with gag reflex?
absolutely!
Actually, it was stated that the affected breast was on the OPPOSITE Zside of the root canal.
Dr Bis. Wow. I wish you were a San Diego dentist. I had the same night guard for 10 years. Just last month asked my dentist for new one. It is soft and hard and hurting my mouth. Bad. Can you recommend a San Diego dentist who has your passion and knowledge about nightguards
First, THANK YOU for commenting and such positive feedback. I don't know any dentists in San Diego. But you can always tell your dentist what you want in your nightguard. Simply tell them that your "past" nightguard had certain features in it and it was "the best nightguard" you ever had. Then ask them to incorporate these into your new one.
That was the most comprehensive and detailed explanation of TMJ disorder and how it can bring on tinnitus. Thanks for that superb explanation.
Thank you so much for commenting!
Hi, i recently got a professional night gaurd, its hard acrylic and quite thick but my lips dont close making it very uncomfortable to sleep, it also pushes my tongue back to an uncomfortable position is this something an adjustment could fix? my mouth is tiny i should say
You pose an interesting question because most dentists learned to make nightguards a specific way; and in a way that pushes your jaw backwards. If you are feeling like your tongue is back, then that is likely what happened to you. Your lower jaw should be able to slide forward EASILY and freely. Also, your lips should close easily around the night guard. So likely, it has not been adjusted to your "forward slide" bite
The background music needed to be a bit louder
lol yes. I agree but the video was made a long time ago and I don't have the original to lower the volume. sorry
At the age of 12 i had second upper bicuspid extraction, without having had had the option of expansion (my teeth weren't even crowded, i just needed space in order to let braces straight my teeth) I regret it as i feel like my jaw is trapped back and i have neck tension, however i don't know what to do in order to reverse it and if it is even worth it. Reversal and implants are expensive maybe i'll live like this i guess
Great question. You may not need implants. It all depends on how much space is created after everything is in its rightful place. But if you don't have TMD symptoms, then leave as is. If you are having symptoms that are getting worse, then you should see a dentist who is well versed in TMJ.
Also helps to remineralize the skull 💀 as our plates shirk w age and put pressure on cranial nerves. No scripts needed!
Whats help?
What kind of surgery had to be done? Intraoral or extraoral?
Depends on each individual situation.
So interesting, it looks like a video of cutting hair, easy and quick, unbelievable.
Thanks! Much appreciate your comment
Hello Dr Agatha. Have you had the need to inject PRF on any your patients? And why? if the answer is yes.Thank you...
No. I believe in treating the cause of the problem rather than a temporary injection, or medication, or anything that would only deal with the inflammation that is caused as a result. Remove the cause, and the body will heal.
@@dr.agathabis thank you for your kind reply Doc!🙏
Do you have literature to support this? Id like to have it so people believe me this is supported scientifically. 🙏
Again Dr Agatha... This info is so grateful appreciate it. I did had my bicuspid removed when getting ortho.. now at my 40s have dislocation sometimes and bite my cheeks or thong. Is there a positive solution for px like this? Thank you ❤
Thank you Dr Agatha... Very useful info. Hope future videos are recorded on 720 hd... Is a bit blurry when trying to see carefully the adjust on teeth. ❤️
Ohh that makes sense. Ive had a huge overbite my whole life. Cant afford braces and it really hurts when i eat 😢
Your jaw is very likely misaligned. Can't diagnose without knowing more but it's likely that your overbite is contributing to your symptoms
I fell my new guard on my front teeth
heavy or light? if light, that's ok.
You have to watch the WHOLE documentary... there are other people and experts talking in it.. and research findings, and also towards the end, other options
Hello, I did watch the whole documentary. And looked into the "research" they base the documentary on. The research is flawed in many ways. So there are many challenges with the statements made in this film due to the fact that they are basing it on faulty conclusions. I am neither agreeing or disagreeing; I am simply saying there is more to it than the conclusions made in the film.
I keep asking people I know if they ever had root canals, 4 ppl so far, one who had 10, even went to 3 different doctors and the failure rate was 100 %
Another had 3, 2 failed within 3 years, another had 2, both failed in 4 to 5 years
People have to watch it for themselves, I'm also going to look into pulp capping , there is a holistic dentist near me
@@sscot720 I couldn't comment without seeing the xrays or scans of the root canal treatment. Many things can impact treatment and outcome.
What are your thoughts on seeing a TMJ doctor and getting an orthotic? I got braces over the pandemic, and they improved my bite immensely, but not completely. I wear a bite splint at night on my lower arch and am essix restainer on my top arch. Im noticing that TMD therapy looks kind of "Pseudoscience'y" and VERY expensive. Is it worth it????
great question! And absolutely, it's worth it. An orthotic, as long as it's properly adjusted to all the slides and movements of your jaw, can make a massive difference.
i’m just now dealing with my issue from 2018 because it was severely misdiagnosed. Got botox in my temporal muscle behind my ear, and I’m halfway there. I’ll get it in my jaw muscle in a week or so. Box has worked really well in calming down the muscles.
Glad to hear you've had some relief
