I worked for Coach/Mark Cross 20+ years ago......We had employee sales and I was able to buy some made in USA bags for $5.00 ................I still have some things from back in the day. The quality of their products was amazing-bags were made ad dyed in the US, woven goods (key fobs and such) were made in Turkey. When they introduced shoes and scarves, they were made in Italia.
@@LorisBostonFound Woven goods were made in Turkey, most shoes and scarves in Italy, and the made in USA goods were specially tanned through the hide. Those bags were made to last....prob why they are once again desirable:)
This video reminded me to find a bin or two of Coach in my basement. I used to refurbish and sell Coach YEARS ago...the old vintage baseball gove leather...aaahhh ..LOVE your videos, Lori!
I read somewhere that coach issues new tags for your old bags but I’m not sure how you request them. Might be worth looking into it and noting it when you list them.
I would post all of the bags and let them go for 40 or $60 asking. I so enjoyed this video even though it was done so many months ago. You're such a wealth of knowledge.
I can relate....I thought that when I got my first coach it was so amazing! Now I have moved on to higher end bags but I have sold my coach bags for a tiny fraction of what I had paid....makes me sad but you can put that money towards an amazing bag that you love!
Great, great video!! I still have one of my first Coach handbags which was given to me back in 1990!! I also have the very first one I purchased and I remember spending $100.00 on it just a few years later. I do have a few other Coach's but I have always preferred the early plain leather ones. What leather cleaner do you use? I am going to get mine out and use them now after watching this!!! I would try selling them & I am also like you that I like to at least get something back from a former purchase. You can also take them to a shoe repair and have died. A friend did that all the time with her Coach's...
Haha! The candies are all yours!! I need to just get the bags listed! Take lots of photos and just do it. Some have already sold so I'm getting there! Thanks so much for watching!
just recently found your channel and I watch all the videos from now to the past)) watched a year already. I love your style and your attitude and the fact that your husband is minimalist and you are not))) I was not ready for that amount of clothes that you had in your kon mari video))) I do thrift for my family and resale, and I was thinking maybe I have too much staff sometimes - but honestly...I clean up my closet at least once or twice a year and sell things...And I implemented same rule for my closet as your husband did for mugs! One in - one out and it works great! There is not that much clothes from retail store in my closet - maybe few...so I dont feel that what you felt about your coach bags but I can completely understand - it is hard to let go things which cost at some points hundreds of dollars - but maybe you list them anyway at higher price - and after some time maybe you will be ready to accept some offers and get rid of them...because it will bring you some extra money towards your dream bag!! Lots of love and support to you from one reseller mom of 2, (but will have 3 in one month)) from Serbia
I not only sell flawed items, but U buy them as well. A well-loved leather bag means more to me when it looks like it was used a lot. And it doesn't hurt if the price was a bargain!
Hi! Correct me if I am wrong but TU still gives out labels. However, it depends on the account. If you’ve reached a certain amount of sent kits then they cut you off because they are so behind. That’s what I’ve read anyway (just on reddit-no where official). I just looked into it yesterday because I keep hearing this from some resellers and your podcast and was very confused because I am able to print labels (but I only have 2 kits in). 🤷🏻♀️
I heard this week that they started reissuing labels. My guess is that they will be distributed sparingly based on how behind they are on processing kits. I really can't be sure... I just know I had tried a few times so decided to try to sell these bags on my own. Great you were able to print some labels!
Thank you for the video! I have an approximate 98% sell through rate on Coach stuff (bags, shoes, slg) so it seems to still be a great option for reselling. :)
Hiya Lori, thanks for that website info! I’ve got a few of my mums old Coach handbags she got as gifts (she hated them🤣, even a vintage one like you sold in an hour) I’ve been trying to research so that site will come in handy! Sorry I’m not commenting much, 1st it was crazy season, then I took a job working remotely so juggling home & work + now our 🐈⬛John Lee got out & has never been out (but he was a block away yesterday so I think he’s confused which house is his, I won’t say the crazy stuff I’ve done to lure him🤣) so it’s been crazy! Have a lovely weekend! Jet 🧡🎸🎶⚡️😻🏠
Jet!!! I've missed your fun stories! So happy to see you here. Thanks for saying hello. Sounds like 2021 is off to a crazy start for you! You always have great adventures! I hope the website is helpful! Have a great weekend!
Hi can you please do American Girl doll videos please showing your collection and giving us tips and tricks on things to look for when finding a doll 2nd hand and all the above. I've been collocting American Girl dolls sense I was little and I love them. Theirs been a few times I've found retired American Girl iteams in the thick store and even found 2 hopscotch hill school dolls that were similar to the wellie wishers and were made in 2003 and were discounted in 2006 or 2007.
Love the Coach Legacy Bag. What is your best tip for finding out of a bag is authentic or not? I know they make super good fakes though so either way I have to be careful. Great video!
Thanks Keegan. I think the more experience you have with the different styles and lines within the brand, the better! I found this site interesting: handbags.lovetoknow.com/How_to_Spot_a_Fake_Coach_Purse There are so many resources about Coach out there. I still have a lot of research to do!
If I were you I wouldn’t worry too much about small flaws on these leather bags because all those can be easily cleaned or restored by professionals or anyone interested who purchased the right products. There are more and more specialists and workshops out there restoring good used leather items. There are some of them here on RUclips, showing how to restore and repaint leather purses. 😉
I find it difficult to sell flawed items. I have become obsessed with vintage coach bags in the last few months. I didnt even realize it was trendy thing until recently. The leather was better on the old bags.
I found two mint condition vintage coach bags and they have the attention on Posh but guess the right buyer has yet to come a long. I did notice the one I have did sell for $122 on Mercari or Ebay but on Poshmark, the same one was sold for a lot less. That alone makes me think about getting on Mercari. I do have one Coach purse that I purchased at the Outlet for myself and plan on wearing it into the ground. I personally do not like the signature Coach bags but mine is a very dark brown with black C's so not as distracting. I also sent you a message about the pink eyeglass case, you can donate it this way lol
Seriously any designer diaper bag priced less than 60 bucks is cheap. That Coach diaper bag you should start higher (IMO)... take it from someone who's still changing diapers. finding a good diaper bag/purse and cute at that is hard to find
Hi Mandy. Everything is for sale, but I had lots of shipping and editing today and I didn't get them all listed. I'm happy to do direct sales. Email me at lorisbostonfound@gmail.com if you are interested. Thanks so much for watching! xo
I list everything, might as well make money, especially if you already have the item hanging around. I just sold a Tory Burch Bag that was in such poor shape, (I disclosed all flaws, and there were several) but 20 bucks is 20 bucks. LOL ;-)
Yes, you are providing very valuable information. This information will also help new customers. There are some companies available like mysubscriptionbusiness.com who are working and providing the best solution to small and startup businesses.
I sell mostly all handbags and as long as you mention the flaw its not a problem. I do clean all my bags.
Just a bin full of Coach bags laying around 😂😂. I love it!!
Thanks for the website info, I have a couple that I need to research 😊

Gotta get moving on these bags! I think the timing is good b/c Coach seems to be having a moment! lol!! Thanks for watching Court! xo

I sold a flawed Fossil Bag for $20- so yes I think you could sell them! Nothing crazy but can go toward your new purse fund 😊
I would post all of the bags and let them go for 40 or $60 asking. I so enjoyed this video even though it was done so many months ago. You're such a wealth of knowledge.
Thanks for this video. I have a lot of Coach purses. Time to get listing 😊
The Hamptons Bags were my favorite from that time period. I have a couple buried in my closet I need to dig out. This was fun!
Thank you! I loved the Hamptons bags too! It's fun to see how the company has evolved.
I am INTO Vintage Coach. The new stuff- not so much. Love love love the different colored bags. Always on the hunt! They are ALWAYS quick flips!

I’ve done well with the vintage crossbody bags and the totes! Thank you for the follow on posh!! Love your voice and your videos
Thank you so much! My pleasure!
I've sold many bags with flaws. As long as you disclose. But, I know you know this - I learned from you! Oh, and I LOVE those cinnamon candies. LOL

Thanks for the great tips on Coach. List those bags fast so that you will have money for your LV bag.
Yes! That LV bag is great incentive to list! Haha!
Ya. You’re in the basement...🤔 but your hair looks amazing!! Love the sweatshirt too! May need a XXL soon! Stacey
Thank you Stacey! I've been living in these hoodies! Mine is an XL for reference. I have black, gray and maroon!! lol!

List them!!!!! People repurpose them, dye them, turn them into project pieces, you would be surprised.
I have 3 vintage Coach leather bags and I love them!
Vintage pieces are my favorite!

I just love Coach, so I would say list even if flawed!
Thanks for watching Trina. I hope to list most of these...if they are super flawed I might just lot them up for a quick sale.
List and let people do their magic.
