Octavia VRS's are so underrated, as VW/Audi/Merc/SEAT usually dominate...These Octavia's were [still are in some parts] used as Police Cars...that says it all...They're no slouches, and look and handle mint....
Just because they're police cars doesn't mean they're that good. Police spec octavia's are a far cry from a vrs, and this tuned vrs is a far cry from a stock vrs.

Why don’t you spend a bit longer with the car? Some people probably driving 2/3 hours to meet you only for 4/5 minutes of driving like maybe spend a bit more time with the people who bring there car to you

I had a mk2 vrs stage2 was running 298bhp was a serious car to go. Pity my chain snapped and done the valves😢 sold it to my buddy and seen it back on the road I'm regretting selling it. Mabe a mk3 500bhp could be the replacement 🤔
I came here to see this comment. If it was a 911 Turbo the driver just showed him what time it was with a quick blip of the throttle then let off and Skoda whipped past thinking they were still racing. I'm sure this Skoda will surprise a lot of cars on a run though not so much from a dig!

My first map was worse for spinning and wheel hop and was running same power as you, this has a lot more of a bigger but laggier turbo so seems to work better than the more aggressive map I had with the is20 turbo. It's more of a boost by gear map so really kicks in in 3rd gear progressively but then 3rd never seems to end lol
@@stephenhodgkins1449 thanks for the info! I was interested in just putting in an is38 into mine, slow down the spool time as you say, the is20 is a bit too quick for it's own good. Something I'll still consider. I really like your switchable map set up. Is this still on the original ECU?

Really like this, interior looks lovely and tastefully done. Lovely car! Only thing that lets it down for me, is that 500bhp in the 2l vag lumps sounds so woeful regardless of what you do.
I’m old and the only thing Skodas were good for was keeping your hands warm on the rear window heater when pushing them! Yeah yeah they’ve come a long way to be fair! ❤
I dread to think how much this cost to get it to stage 3, I've got mine on stage 1 with no other mods at the moment and that is still scary for me. It went from 230 to 300 so I'm quite happy with mine for the time being.
That fitment is perfect bro! You mind going more in depth with the suspension setup? I.e ride height, spacers? Got a stage 2 rs230 myself, still looks very stock on the outside but can hilariously gap most traffic on the road😂
Hi mate there has been changes since the video but it's running min 15mm Bilstein kit and since I've added racing line alloy wheels and white line anti lift kit and had the car fast road specked with camber etc , which has helped a bit being fwd

have had 3 vrs , all of them were taken to jabba sport , great car but too much power for front wheel drive , try and pull away quick from the lights and you get that horrid knocking noise as it scrabbles for grip , then bought near new superb 276 sportline took that to jabba , running about 350 , but the 4x4 makes all the difference , cannot even spin it in the wet , if the vrs were made in 4x4 with 310 engine in it would buy in a heart beat , the superb is only 80 or 100 kg mor than octy , one of my vrs which was about 2 year old had a complete new 2 tsi engine under warranty as hair line crack in the back of the block , maybe next cat cupra formentor or cupra ateca ....
Got one of these on a 2016 plate with only 30k on the clock, part of me wants to keep it standard and unmolested and other days I want to turn it into a beast
Nice car. Definitely not a sleeper. Term is overused. Sleeper would be a poverty spec nova with a 2 litre turbo in it and no badges or anything whatsoever. Certainly not a top spec car with an MRC badge which is a dead giveaway 😂

Mines 320bhp stage 1 with a miltex exhaust. Thats enough for most overtakes and duels lol

I've tracked it at donnington park 2 times and temps never went over 110
And that was really pushing it

That's correct its pretty useless below 60mph being 2wd but then it kicks in from 60mph and can all be seen from my Insta
I run an Octavia with 310hp / 510NM. Great all rounder, but 500hp must be wheel spin/hop central with an open diff (no mention of LSD)

The stiff suspension is really badly effecting the traction. Softer suspension it would be quicker and not be so hoppy
