Nice! Curbless showers are tricky
I've used the wedi systems, the last couple showers I've done. And I think I prefer it to the concrete board. And the pre sloped pans are a no brainer . I don't think I'm doing any more mud beds unless I absolutely have to
We’re always on slab. I don’t think anyone is doing foam pans on slab for a curbless application. So I opt to learn mudding pans.
Thank you for your video. But it doesn't work for DIYer. Your choice is speed, you don't care about money, the customer pays. My choice is money. I recently installed a cement board and made waterproofing with a Mapei membrane. I spent about $200 on the same result as you for $1000
You spent way more than $200 overall if you built a tile shower. Thanks for the comment but don’t down play your true cost

@@fevgglast comment on this because we are talking past each other. But cement board has cost, along with a mud bed pan. And let’s not forget this is a curbless shower. I get what you’re saying, but it’s not true. You have at least $750 total. This system is around $1,300 with bench
@@BathroomRemodelingTeacher Ok, lets breakdown my cost. Cement board 5x$25=$125, liquid membrane 1x$65, topping mix 2x$13, bench/curb 2x4" SPF lumber 8x$2, plywood $15, membrane I covered bench/curb $50. Total $297, my mistake, not $200. 6 times cheaper than yours anyway
