Watching this again while shiny hunting this one myself. Apparently not only does the 500 ko method not work on the regis, but the shiny charm also does not work on the regis. so those odds of 1:1365 are actually the full 1:4096.

4 days would have been lucky for me… I went 3 months for a shiny Regice in the crown tundra
I played this while shiny hunting Regidrago, and my shiny popped up right when his did!
I'll ask you on Twitter if it's easier Gio but is there effectively a better way to shiny hunt these given the Regi aren't static encounters so cannot chain defeat? Would you recommend 1) old fashioned soft resetting 2) chain defeating or 3) fleeing?
Since defeating doesn't increase odds it's best to either reset or run away.
I find resetting risky because I'm afraid to reset over the shiny, running away gives you an audio and visual cue but you have to get the pattern right every single time.
This has got to be up there as one of my favourite shiny reactions 💪 I’ve been hunting it on and off for a long time and sitting on over 30k 😭

I I got it yesterday. I also got it square. It is a 1/16. So it’s very rare
@@MProducing in case you have not noticed. Most reactions have star sparkles. Which is like masuda method. Which makes square more rare
@@whatsgoodboyss if you get a shiny through encounter it’s most likely gonna be square, if get a shiny through masuda it’s most likely star, they messed up the coding so that’s how it works
@@reyexiliado4177 They are static encounters. Which is different because one, chaining does not work. And two, they trigger something in the game that tells it you can’t catch it again. If you have not noticed, most people getting it shiny had the star sparkles variety. We can then assume that the shiny type odds are similar to Masuda method shiny type odds. If, I am correct on that, then it means that star sparkles have a 15/16 to be present and square sparkles have a 1/16 to be present. This is just my speculation but it could very well be the case.

That’s really awesome man, especially when you encounter a Shiny on such few attempts :) i went to the temple today to get Regieleki and the most crazy thing happened, it was Shiny on the first encounter and i really couldn’t believe my eyes. When i see people like doing like 1000+ attempts at finding it in Shiny form, i sure was ridiculously lucky
