This light should have had a gas pedal switch. Light press for low hard press for high and twist for constant. Had high hopes but I’ll stick to the G2X tactical because I don’t want to have to cycle through low output mode when I don’t want it.
I dont see how that 600lumen will make that "blinding white light" like you mentions it.. come on surefire, for that price why cant you make a better performance light such as fenix or even that cheaper olight ? . in 2020, no other company that still use that few hundred lumen led.. all of them including the more cheaper olight m2r also had exceed 1800lumen output.
@Goat Still surefire g2x only produce below 9 thousand candela.. while the olight m2r got both on lumen and candela, probably around 22 thousand candela.
Surefire makes usable flashlights manly for law enforcement with the kiss principle not for flashoholics. If you go inside a building with 1800l you will blind yourself.
@@Gieszkanne its better to have more than not enough.. and 1800 lumen in the building will not blind yourself, its a perfect brightness for clearing up the building and distract the perp.. 5-8 years ago yes a lot of leo will carry a surefire or streamlight in their pocket, but not today.. now lot of them that use olight on their pistol and thrunite in their pocket.
@@harisyoung4110 It will. Actually I have also a m2r Pro with 1800. Its not sooo bad because its a neutral white around 4500k but cw around 6500k would be bad with 1800.(But if the battery isnt fully loaded you will get only the 700 anyhow) There is another brand that produces mostly for LE. Nextorch they have high lumen lights but also a model TA01 with single output at 500l in neutral white just for reducing self blinding situations in close indoor environment. It was designed after guidelines of LE they work with. Close range 300l is enough to disturb the vision.
Yeah and I see a lot of Olight flashlights fail, and I got to experience one. I have an M2T Warrior and in 2 years already got a faulty switch and I barely use it.

Thats why they offer this LE version where you have high first!🤦♂
If you only use a momentary on will it stay on high?
Yes, have one myself and tested it today.
