  • We went to Soldier Creek/Strawberry to try and catch some Kokanee. Once we found them we went on a hot streak. We even managed a TRIPLE! Wow what chaos that was. The size of the fish on this trip was absolutely amazing for being so early in the year. We managed to get our limits for the day and even had time for a little boat ride. While you're watching check out our new knottyhookr hats. Just got those done and we are totally stoked on how well they turned out. Don't forget to like subscribe and turn on those notifications so you don't miss any of the action.

Nice Koke action! They appear much bigger than the ones I caught recently here in California! 👍🙏🎣⚒

Those ones were coming in around 18+ inches. Except the little one which had a hook in the gills so we kept that. Thanks for watching!

We've actually caught 20+ Kokes on Strawberry Reservoir and Flaming Gorge Reservoir. If you get a chance I'd definitely give it try. Be more than happy to help you too! 👍

Interesting way to get a double. Those look like real salmon. I was over on the rocks across from you Saturday.

I like all of your videos. I can't recall seeing either of you making any steering adjustments to the boat. Most of the time you seem to be looking behind the boat and not where you are headed. Are you just not showing them, do you have an autopilot?

What we do is steer with the electric Minn kota motor and use the kicker as a pusher. We tend to have the Minn kota set on a heading or with the Lakemaster chip following a contour. Depending on boat traffic there is very little steering needed and we can focus on fishing. Thank you so much for supporting the channel.

What depth were you fishing and what speed? My son and I can never seem to get them dialed in! Thanks and great video!

Thanks for watching!!! The last couple of trips we've found them from 25-50 ft deep. With the water temps right now they can be just about anywhere. We just look for schools and drop on or raise up to put our lines in them. If you're not marking any, try on top. I'm usually tying a bit longer leader (10-12in) and run them between 1.2-1.5mph. Good Luck!!
