There awesome aren’t they buddy , honestly my favourite 6s arrma . I’ve got plans now for this truck just working out which way to take it . What you putting on your custom build bud ? Stay awesome my friend Chris 🫡🤙💪😎🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀
Hey Johnny buddy , yeah I’m with you it would irritate me to hell and back if the body kept coming off all the time to be honest with you . Plus I want to upgrade as much as I can so some of the updates are a little pointless to me . Not saying it’s bad far from it just that I’ve skipped this version on purpose . Hope your well buddy , Stay awesome my friend Chris 🤙😎🫡👊💪🚀🤘🤩👌
ADU parts are very good for the money to be fair , Ive been super happy with the quality from the parts ive had on the EXB v2 and also the Big Rock 6s . Looking forward to getting this built buddy . Stay awesome Chris :)
Nice video bro! I have the outcast 6s exb and just love it. Why do you say the motor has been updated, is it not the same 6s motor that’s been around with the orange Esc?
@@RC-Kwagga good morning buddy nice outcast EXB are beasts I’ve seen a few out and there built awesome strange that they haven’t made another 6s EXB version having said that there are a bunch on the new v6 BLX version parts . As for the motor my mistake I thought it was a updated variant . Thanks for watching buddy 👊 Stay awesome Chris. 🫡🚀💪🤩😎🤘🚀
Hiya buddy, so check out RC driver and Mark Santa Maria’s videos to name a few . Clipless bodies do come off on impact , xmaxx , sledge , xrt , as well . This isn’t uncommon ! Stay awesome Chris 👌😎🤩👊🚀🚀🚀
Hey man Thanks so much , Yeah there Bad Ass to be fair , I have tons planned for this truck , cant wait to get this built . Thanks for watching and commenting . Stay awesome Chris :)
Ah man thanks yeah i think so to be honest ! , Build it then bash it and since there are so many upgrades that are out tons of choice also whilst saving a few pennies . Stay awesome buddy Chris :)
Absolutely agree! These trucks are absolute beasts, and the V5 was an incredible machine right out of the box. Solid performance, super durable, and a blast to drive! 🏁💥 Of course, as with any RC, there’s always room for a few tweaks here and there to make it even tougher or more tailored to your driving style. But honestly, the V5 holds its own incredibly well in stock form. The improvements in the V6 are cool, but the V5 still shines and can take a serious beating! 💪 What’s your favorite thing about it so far? 🚗🔥
This is exactly what I’m thinking! The clipless body is probably great when its new but if it’s anything like the traxxas system after it’s been used and muck gets everywhere it just keeps on coming off😮 I’ve just bought a kraton EXB and had a choice between the v6 kraton or EXB and like you it’s never been a problem with clips🤷♂️
Totally agree with you! The clipless body systems can be great when they're fresh, but once the dirt and grime get in, they can become more hassle than they're worth-I've heard the same complaints about Traxxas systems too. Great choice on the Kraton EXB! I think clips are a tried-and-true solution, and like you said, they’ve never been an issue. The EXB is a beast, and I’m sure you’ll have an awesome time with it! Stay awesome dude Chris :)
That’s a great point! Updating the firmware on the older models can indeed unlock those newer features, including the BEC voltage options. It’s awesome how firmware updates can keep older models feeling fresh and functional. For anyone who loves to tinker, it’s a win-win! Have you done the update yourself yet?
@ oh yes, 100%! Updated all my favorite rigs as soon as I found out about the new firmware and what it unlocked. This may just be my imagination, but it seems that the motor runs cooler too. Don’t know if they changed up something in the programming to make it more efficient, but I’ve noticed that the motor doesn’t heat up as much.
Does fiberglassing a few layers work for body strengthening ? Or would that be pointless as the fiberglass could crack if ya could even get it to stick? Why shoe goo and do you add mesh or anything like you where fiberlassing but with shoe goo?
Great question! Fiberglassing can work for body strengthening, but it does have its drawbacks, like potential cracking and difficulty adhering to RC bodies. That’s why many RC enthusiasts (myself included) prefer Shoe Goo combined with Plasterer’s Skrim tape or alternatives like Fantastic Elastic or E4000 glue. This method adds flexibility and durability without the brittleness you might get with fiberglass. I’m actually about to reinforce the bodies on my Notorious and X-Maxx using this technique. If you want a step-by-step guide, check out my Big Rock 3S video-I’ve got a full tutorial showing how it’s done. It’s a straightforward process that can save your body shell from taking too much damage during heavy bashing. Let me know how it works out for you if you try it! 🚗💨
Ah thats nice to know buddy , Yeah i hear you loads will love it , But as i said i love upgrading myself so glad to have this one at a cheaper price point and able to add the parts i want if that makes sense . Yeah i have tons planned for mine now and want to get it upgraded . Stay awesome Bud Chris :)
Haha, I totally get what you mean! The Notorious has such a unique look-it’s one of those “love it or hate it” designs at first. But in black, it really does bring out the tough, mean vibe of the truck. That “turd brown” color isn’t for everyone, but hey, variety is the spice of life, right? 😄 Glad to hear it’s growing on you-there’s just something about the black that screams pure beast mode! 💪🔥
I was thinking the same thing ,when you were talking about the V6 Kraton and Notorious V6, I am not a big fan of the clipless design due to that body coming off in big jumps ..I seen it to in videos it coming off ..I was wondering if you can change bodies on the V6 versions and use body clips instead ..some how put the body posts back on the V6 models if you like?
You’re absolutely right-those clipless bodies can be a bit of a letdown on the V6 models, especially if you love sending it hard with big jumps. I’ve seen the same thing happen in videos, and that’s one of the reasons I stuck with the V5 for now. As for switching to a body with clips, I’ve heard of people modifying the V6 models to use traditional body posts and clips. It usually involves adding aftermarket or 3D-printed body posts that attach to the shock towers or chassis. It’s not a plug-and-play solution, but it’s definitely doable if you’re handy with mods. If you’re comfortable with a bit of DIY, this could be a great way to get the best of both worlds-keeping the durability and upgrades of the V6 while avoiding the clipless-body frustrations. Let me know if you decide to try it, and I’ll be curious to see how it works out for you! Stay awesome Chris :)
@@ChriswithaCrc yea that would be a great idea to actually rig something up where you can get them switched over to body posts ..one day when I buy one of them V6 models, I will find something that will work..I will deffenetly let you know more on how to change it out ..I like a good challenge.. you have great videos👍👍
Here I was expecting a detailed explanation of V5 vs V6 in this 21:26 min video, but only reason was cuz it's cheaper and took about 10 seconds to say that?!?
My Notorious couldn't keep up with my driving. Wing mount was cheese and continued diff issues. I love stunt trucks and love the look of the Noto but we are not good friends.
Ah, man, I feel your pain! The Notorious is an incredible stunt truck, but I know it can have its quirks when you start really pushing it. The wing mount being "cheese" is a perfect description-I’ve upgraded mine to something a bit tougher to handle the madness. Diff issues, though? Ugh, that’s rough! For me, it’s all about building them to suit my driving style, so upgrading weak points has been a must. But I get it-if a truck can’t hang with your driving out of the box, it’s hard to form that bond. Stay awesome buddy Chris :)
@ChriswithaCrc Great response! For me the RC that has my name and driving style is the Arrma Typhon 6s. They are so tough and handle so well. Competitive on the track (TLR Tuned) and bash all day. I loved my Noto, one of the best looking RCs. Enjoy yours mate 👍 👌
Thanks for watching both videos-I really appreciate that! 🙏 Between the Corally Kagama 6 and the Notorious, it’s honestly no contest for me-the Notorious wins hands down. It’s by far my favorite. I love how versatile it is, whether I’m bashing hard, pulling wheelies, or sending it flying for insane flips. The rugged, old-school pickup truck vibe just seals the deal. The Kagama is a solid rig with its own charm, but the Notorious has that special something that keeps me coming back. It’s just so much fun to upgrade and push to its limits! What about you-do you have a favorite between the two?
@@ChriswithaCrcthank you for the reply. I currently have a MJX 1/10 and taking heavy inspiration on my next purchase from yourself. After seeing your Kagama 6 video I was old but your love for the ARRMA I am swaying.
