Great list! You've got a few of my top cozy games on your list like Cartographers, Lands of Galzyr and Cascadia. Most flip/roll and writes are pretty cozy for me. Fliptown, Fleet the Dice Game and Three Sisters all join my personal list as well. Also, coin capsules rule. I used them for years in Quacks until I finally upgraded to the premium tokens and donated the capsuled ones to my FLGS. I still use them in Runebound 3rd Edition since you are throwing the runes (tokens) a lot during the game. It's nice how they snap on nice and snug (if you get the right size) and never come apart.
Lovely video! My favourite comfort food/cozy solo game is it’s a rather small one, Orchard. It’s a puzzle-y card laying game where you built a little orchard, by overlapping cards with the same type of trees. Beat your own score kind of game. Quite charming.
Dorf Romantik has a weird place in my heart. I didn't care for the videogame - didn't particularly dislike it but didn't feel engaged or inclined to return to it. Played the boardgame with a friend and loved it, bought it, devoured it. I can't explain why but it just really clicked! And yeah Coffee Roaster is good 👍
I was skeptical of Dorfromantik the board game but once I played it, I was impressed. It translates well and I also prefer it to the video game. Thanks for watching!
I really enjoyed this video (I enjoy all your videos) - great theme. I backed the current Lands of Galzyr and happy to see so many more good comments about it. Good picks. I was surprised not to see Mythwind on the list after seeing so many images in the intro, but i see you mentioned you red to play it more. So do I! I think that most / all of Saashi’s games are pretty cozy. Especially the two done with Daryl Chow: Come Sail Away! And Remember Our Trip. Though only two of his games can be played solo.
Nice list. There are a number of games on here I want to check out, and I second the Cascadia and For Northwood picks. To my list, I'd add Parks, River Valley Glassworks, Fliptown, and Rolling Realms.
Yeah, Parks is a great pick. It was on my short list with a bunch of other games. There were more good choices than I anticipated when I first started creating the list. Thanks, Laurence!
Definitely an evergreen game for me. I always have a great time, even if it has been a while between plays. Nothing else quite like it. Thanks so much for watching!
@TotallyTabled love this list idea. Loyang, Saashi Coffee Roaster, For Northwood are my top three for this category... I'm curious about Saltfjord and Deep Sea Endeavor as I want more relaxing and fun games. I like skyteam solo for this as well even though there is tension to deal with.
A lot of great games in your video. My list of cozy solo games (based on what I own) are these: Calico, Canvas, Floriferous, For Northwood, A Gentle Rain and Metro X.
Such a fantastic list! I must be a cozy gamer because I either have or want almost all these :) Another I like that is similar is Black Sonata. Wandering around Old England searching for a lady, collecting clues, seems perfect played by a fire on winter's evening...
The more I play, the more I go to cozy games instead of games with kind of heavy attitude that pretend they are smarter than others. I play ISS Vanguard lately and I was pretty impressed by the cozy feeling he gives to me. Thanks for sharing, love the cozy feeling by Mythwind also.
Hi there! As a tiles placing lover I defenatly have to try Dorf Romantik, ( I just rent it at the library..) Cascadia is one of my go to cozzy game, especially now they released it digital on steam! About the missing ones, you defenatly should try : Harmonies (the basic solo is a byos which I never found really fun, but there are some fanmade out on bgg) I also like : Alice's garden. For which i made a solo mode using the idea from Targui's solo. Then there is : After Us, which is really nice looking, easy to set up and smooth to play Finaly, the guild of merchant explorers offer the vibes of a flip 'n write but in a more cozzy way using wooden cubes... Cheers from belgium
Great video as always! I own half of these and the other half is already on my wishlist! Another great cozy game I have is Harmonies. It has that great tactile feel like you mentioned with the tokens in the bag. A nice relaxing puzzle!
Harmonies is a great pick! I keep hearing great things. I might have to give it a try on Board Game Arena until I get a copy. Thanks for checking out the list!
I enjoy Herbaceous and will be getting Mistwind next year. Floriferous (same designer as Herbaceous) I find to be a great solo game. And yes, a Gentle Rain is probably my most played comfy solo game.
I totally agree on Cascadia and For Northwood 😊❤ I would add „Harmonies“ a game published by the french publishers Libellud - it is a cosy tile-laying multiplayer solitäre game with a beautiful artwork, but I don ´t know if you have it in the US. And I would add „Forage“ - it is a bit tricky, but for me it is cosy as well, it is sending out autumn vibes 😊🎉
Can you also do a video about the opposite of cozy solo games? ;-) High-involved games or however you can call them. There are terms that make me instantly be less or not interested: - easy to learn, hard to master - streamlined - cozy - vanilla - partly point salad
I need to try Loyang! I just wish it was available at a reasonable price. A lot of people describe Fields of Arle as cozy ... but to me, that game is brilliant but so stressful! Probably the coziest game I've played is Flamecraft.
Ha, sorry. It is the only copy I have. Believe me, I also get sad when I remember they didn't reprint this version. Cottage Garden is a great pick. Thanks!
Let's go to Japan is on the top of my list. Close behind is an 18 card solo only game i designed. Cool list. I love a good cozy solo game. I will have to check out the coffee one!
I've only played it once, but I can't see myself finding Black Forest cozy or 'casual' - the huge offer of buildings, the way the action spaces work and the resource wheels - I found it really overwhelming and kinda stressful. Maybe that will go down with familiarity or more plays...
Love everything about this criteria, but beat high score type games don't provide me enough motivation to play them. Recommendations that match this but have other winning mechanisms?
i dont like cozy games apparently haha. with the exception of Coffee Roaster, which i think is great. at least now i know how to describe these games that dont suit me. thanks.
@TotallyTabled I find games with a clear victory condition that is easy to achieve more relaxing. For example Spirit Island on standard difficulty is impossible to lose for me. Or a gentle rain that's also hard to lose when you aren't really bad in tile laying games. I highly recommend you check that one out
I started Lands of Galzyr a while back but I think I was playing it wrong. I didn't get very far the few times I tried. But not giving up. I'll pull it out again. I knew Dorf Romantik would be on the list. Coffee Roaster is addictive. Well, Mythwind seems like it would be a relaxing game. I have yet to break it out, but it's a go at your own pace, open world, game, so... Thanks as always for the list. I'm going to watch your Conservas playthrough!
Yeah, Mythwind came very close to making the list, but I need to play it more. It just hasn't hit the table in a while. The others on the list I play a bunch, so that usually wins out. I hope you enjoy the Conservas playthrough! Thanks for checking out the video!
nice list mage knight is my cozy game it just has that old school rpg feel with simple art and once you know the rules it is simple to play
My top three cozy games is, Nusfjord, The Guild of Merchant Explorers and Cascadia. Great video as always.
A gentle rain has been my super cozy and easy solo game .
Fun topic. Great for chilly weather when you want to stay in.
Yes, we get a lot of those days where I live. These are great games to play with some hot cocoa. Thanks for checking out the list!

Yeah, the videogame is slightly irritating, I don’t know why..
I was skeptical of Dorfromantik the board game but once I played it, I was impressed. It translates well and I also prefer it to the video game. Thanks for watching!
Tiny epic quest. You just send your little dudes on an adventure and then they all come back to swap stories and go out again the next day.
been enjoying River Valley Glassworks, Leaf and Agueda city of umbrellas the last couple weeks

A Gentle Rain is my #1, hand-down. Meadow is another good one!
Nice list. There are a number of games on here I want to check out, and I second the Cascadia and For Northwood picks. To my list, I'd add Parks, River Valley Glassworks, Fliptown, and Rolling Realms.
Great list! Especially for this time of year. I think Parks is another great cozy game.
Yeah, Parks is a great pick. It was on my short list with a bunch of other games. There were more good choices than I anticipated when I first started creating the list. Thanks, Laurence!
Yes to coffee roaster! I’m jealous u have the original version tho. I rediscovered mine a couple of weeks ago and loved it all over again!
Definitely an evergreen game for me. I always have a great time, even if it has been a while between plays. Nothing else quite like it. Thanks so much for watching!

Id love to get this one, but I can't find a good used copy!
@ do they not make it anymore? I know I can’t get for Northwood at all in the uk. Impossible.

Wonderful video 🤩 Recently, Wild Gardens jumped to my no 1 solo game. The solo scenarios are super lovely and overall cozy 🥰
This one’s on my Xmas list! 😊 Glad to hear it’s a fun one :)
@@Melz_Bellz Oh wonderful 🥳

Late pledges for their expansion and reprint just opened today
@@millertss Well... that was spooky timing! Thanks for the heads up.
@@calvinskye We also have the base game available on our online store with worldwide shipping. 🙂

Great to see Lands of Galzyr on the list! 😊
Three Sisters
Ah, great one. I've never played but I watched a playthrough and the theme and gameplay seem perfect for this list. Thanks for watching!
Coziness is happiness ! Thanks for this video 👍🏻

Have you tried "Verdant?" I find that game relaxing, challenging, and fun.

Loyang is so awesome 🔥 . What are your thoughts on Hallertau and Nusfjord for other relaxing Uwe games?
Flamecraft is a good pick. I haven't played but it looks super cozy. Thanks for watching!
Great list, Shaggy! Thank you so much. My favorite cozy solo game is probably Mythwind.
Yeah, it nearly made the top 10 but I need to play more. I'm excited to see how they expand it in the future. Thanks for watching!
Love this category! ❤
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for checking out the video!

Nothing cozy about coffee roaster, when that bad token comes out of the bag and knocks you down a scoring category.
Love this list! Cozy FTW!
Nusfjord is another cosy Uwe classic!
Very great pick. Thanks!
Oh my goods - nice game to play solo

I want to pick up Lands of Galzyr, Black Forest, and the Sakura version of Dorf Romantik.
Yeah, the Sakura version looks very beautiful. Thanks so much for watching!
I find Snowfall Over Mountains quite cozy.

I mean, I'd try one. But I'm skeptical. thanks for watching!
Interesting that BYOS games make you feel less stressed. They stress me more since I always want to beat my previous score.
I can understand that, but I definitely find it more stressful when I'm trying to win or desperately attempting not to lose. Thanks for watching!

The expansion with new boats is pretty great. The original is not very stressful and you build a huge map by the end
