My name is Previ, and yes! it was named after this condition my mom got while she was pregnant of me. I am now a second year medical student and i'm so happy that i got to learn this.
We hope this video helped, Previ! 😊
I was diagnosed with Complete Placenta Previa at 16 weeks. But my Doctor mentioned that there is still a big chance that the placenta would move upward as the uterus grows. I will be having my next Ultrasound at 20 weeks. Hoping and Praying that the placenta will be at the upper part of my uterus by then.
Same here l will have to go to my next scan at 28 weeks if it doesn't move then i will have to have c section
Tinatsei Chademana Same here. 😒 I really want to go through normal vaginal delivery. We all know C-Section healing can take a lot longer (not to mention it costs a lot more, too)
How are you now? Did your placenta move upward? Having the same problems, i’m on my 15th week.
A Hi. Unfortunately, mine didn't. Had to go through emergency C-section coz of heavy bleeding at 36 weeks.
zetliiizette hope baby and you are doing fine now. Thank you for the update.😊

Hey Osmosis, you´re doing an amazing job! Please give importance to the concecuences on the maternal part of this condition, in this case is honestly the most important part because is the Mother the one that has to deal with the hardest consecuences.
Can you please give us more details?
thats true. this condition can end up being fatal for both mom and baby
I had this with my 1st child!
Another name placental presentation
Ultrasonography at 17 weeks of gestation reveals placenta covering the internal os in about 15 percent of cases .Repeat ultrasonography at 34 weeks showed no placenta in the lower uterine segment in kore than 90 percent of cases.Lower uterine segment expands from 0.5 cm at 20 weeks to more than 5 cm (10fold)at term
you should do a video about molar pregnancy!
At my 20 week scan it was discovered that my anterior placenta is a bit low-lying. I really hope it resolves and moves up so I can experience a low risk pregnancy and normal delivery. I’m almost 25 weeks now and I go back for another ultrasound at 28 weeks to check the placental position.
Keeping you and your baby in our thoughts! 🙏🏼
How did it go?
@@TheBrainsugarfreeze it resolved on its own and baby boy is now 7 weeks old 🥰
Once u came to know tht u hv low lying placenta were u on bed rest or was doing little household wrks... I m asking bcz mine is also anterior low lying in 19 weeks..
@@pratibhathangaraj7020 no best rest was prescribed for me. They said to carry on as normal and stay moderately physically active like go for a walk every day etc
Thanks
Me also understand very easily TQ so much
You are most welcome, Priyanka! 😊

My wife is 16 week pregnant and has type 3...really confused as how to take care...no bleeding yet but afraid after reading and watching all about it.
I suffered with placenta previa and they removed my baby with c section when I was at 28 weeks , this is all down 5yrs back now am 10 weeks pregnant and doctor said till wait for 3more weeks to determine whether previous case repeat or not is it real
It gives a clear concept.
Thanks to osmosis.
I take 22 week scan, placenta grade zero above 4cm from OS it’s complicated sir?? Or not
I love you
Hello, can you make a video of pathophysiology of placenta previa?
Btw, thak you for this info. So easy to understand.
Hi Elisha! We do have a video on this over at osmosis.org. You may signup for a free trial to access our entire video library. No worries as you won't be charged once the trial expires. 👍🏼
Is it generally fine to perform a digital cervical exam on a patient with placenta previa?
No. That could incite severe bleeding.
If an induced delivery at 7th month has been done, and after 1 year, if the girl bcomes pregnant again, is there any chances of preterm delivery as well as placenta previa?
Now I get it!
We love hearing that Amena! Did you know that if you like & review us on Facebook then you’ll get access to our videos hours or even days before they’re published on RUclips? Check it out here: bit.ly/2u35D6J

Kannadadalli video madi please
I have this found out at 16 weeks
How are you doing? I had it too, daughter is 15 now, she's doing great! You might find that by term you no longer have it. Fingers crossed! xxx
@@MonkeymagicsMum im now 25 weeks and still having issues
@@cyanideprincess666 It's still early days, yet! Plenty of time for things to change for the better. My daughter is very clever and excels in English language; my cousin had PP with her daughter and the daughter is now a hotshot lawyer in London! If things don't turn out how you want, keep the bigger picture in mind - a healthy, healthy baby! I rarely think about the emergency section every September 5th, I just give thanks for my fabulous daughter. When I see what can go wrong during pregnancy/birth, I count myself very lucky (although I didn't at the time). There are far, far worse things than a section. But nevertheless, chin up, be positive, you might not need a section x
Bagaimana agar gak trus pendarahan? Apa obatnya?
How to prevent preterm birth?
Why is bleeding painless?
sir how to use osmosis app , asking for email , what to do, plz help
You can input any email, or try first at www.osmosis.org/login.
Isn't it supposed to be 28 weeks if gestation instead of 20?
Of*
I thought the same too
But i think it depends with the places
Well; best answer would be after the age of viability! 24 weeks in developed countries, 28weeks in developing countries and 500g (around 22weeks) according to WHO.
can the placenta moving upward during the pregnancy before maturity if there is placenta previa?
Ans plz
that is normal
My sister just found out she has is.. can this cause her to have miscarriage
Yes I guess, bcs as uterus enlarges placenta retracted upwardly due to the fact that it's implantation site moves upward. Again previa is a kind of placental implantation so it moves upward with physiologic uterus changes too. Even if it is total, it may becomes partial previa via this mechanism (not certain, but most probably)
Yes it can move up but it will never move down. So if the ultra sound shows the placenta is where it should be you do not have to worry about preview. But if there is previea at 24 weeks it may not be previa later on in the pregnancy
My OB never told me this. But the ultrasound tech slipped up and asked if I ever had prévia or if this was my first time. And she said she couldn’t tell me the results (reason for my bleeding) but that the doctor would come back to me with the results which she never did. And I ended up miscarriage with NO DIAGNOSIS. Is that considered NEGLIGENCE?
