Super sharp looking outfits and love those boots! Roughly how tall are you? I’d like to order some of those Henley T-shirts, so trying to gauge what size to go with. Awesome video, cheers for posting!
You look like you have a Kramer thing going on the thumbnail, and I mean that in a good way😁. Great content, as usual! I watched several of your vids before I jumped into the world of boots! Thanks!
I've lusted after a pair for years and now I got them but during the time I've started to dress a bit more formal. But I think if I just ditch the odd jacket/sportsjacket when wearing the boots I'll be all right. I mean they should work with trousers in flannel or with chinos. Don't think I even own a set of jeans at the time, I always wear them out at the knees quickly and don't no why :)
Nice video, all solid outfits. It gave me some ideas to work with. I’m also a huge fan of Taylor Stitch. It took me awhile to finally get over the sticker shock and pull the trigger on a few shirts. But they are my go to now, and have received numerous compliments on them.
Glad you found it helpful! Are there any other boots you'd like to see a style vid on? I have a Thursday captain one on the way, but I'm thinking about others too
I think there's value in seeing different ideas for each "class" of boot. The IR is a bulky workbook. Anything with a crepe sole is another class. Chelsea boots, especially shiny, dressy models deserve special attention. Timberlands are unique. Plus you have boots with interesting colors and/or materials that may be harder to dress around, like those boots with the wool canvas uppers. Light vs dark denim, wool trousers, corduroy, etc to accentuate but not overpower the boots. Really great if you have a friend with a different body type to show how to dress for a specific body type. I know that gets away from pure boot stuff, but I think venturing more into the style/fashion aspects can draw in a larger audience. We're all becoming internet "experts" on boots from the various channels that you need some way to stand out. Plus, buying and really testing boots is an expensive and slow process. Style videos can fill the time while you put a boot through the paces. While not a novel idea, a series on building a wardrobe could be good. Identifying your style, a few staples, "go to" brands and ones to avoid, and mistakes you've made could all help people trying to look their best.
Yeah maybe moc toes, wedge vs heals. Could do a thing on boots for skinny guys vs medium size guys vs heavier guys… just ideas. Or maybe boots based on occasions, weddings vs business meetings, vs casual vs nights on the town…
I love OuterKnown. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on their cloths. Great reviews. Thanks for the information and great styles. Love you man. Your doing good.
glad you found the video helpful, and yeah, they just had a huge sale.. I almost bought a fishermans sweater -- I had it in my cart and everything and didn't follow through.. It's a regret I'll have to live with haha
I think the variety of leathers that Red Wing uses in their Heritage line has a lot to do with how you style them. Your Iron Rangers look like their classic Amber Harness Leather. There is also the Black Harness leather. Both harness leather colers are upscale looking, so I wear them to the “dress casual” office with chinos and khakis, no problem. I pair the pants with a polo shirt. The Red Wing “rough and rough” leathers are at the opposite end of the spectrum. They are definitely kick around boots, not quite ready for the office. But, my favorite Red Wing leather is the Briar Oil Slick leather. It is the easiest leather to break-in and maintain, IMHO. The Briar Oil Slick is the best looking of all of their current offerings. It is the color of a dark red wine. I condition mine with Wolverine 1000 Mile leather conditioner, which does not darken leathers.
Hi William! I'm pretty jazzed to find your channel. I am torn between the 8111 'Amber Harness' or 8085 'Copper Rough and Tough' Rangers. Which leather color do you think is a more neutral and versatile style to build outfits on?
It’s easy to dress up or down the amber harness. Not really dressy but the outfits in the video are a good range. The Copper rough & tough looks great but you can’t dress it up at all.
what type of jeans you wear for a boots is it like straight cut? or are those slim fit? what do you think is the best type of jeans that will be good with iron rangers ?
Thank you ! I’m actually laughing at this video I was looking for reviews on the iron ranger and ran into this one , I’m planing to use my mine for work lol , hipsters ruin everything
Why doesn’t anybody ever rock the flags on the boots? My boots feel naked without them. I specifically ask for them every time I bring them in for a shining
Iron rangers у меня самые дорогие ботинки и самые красивые, только только успел купить до войны. Теперь только остается ждать когда разрешат покупать остальную одежду
Red Wings and wrist candy! Outstanding. I love that you include sizing info and specific brands and models.
So glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching!
One of my favorite Combos is a dark green flannel and a medium wash denim jacket with black jeans! Can’t go wrong
Pure Blue Japan "Cobalt Weft" jeans ( cuffed ) + Iron Ranger 8085 = look really good. Oni Dark Indigo Secret Denim jeans ( non cuffed ) are good too.
Super sharp looking outfits and love those boots! Roughly how tall are you? I’d like to order some of those Henley T-shirts, so trying to gauge what size to go with. Awesome video, cheers for posting!
Just in time for my IR’s to get here next week! Do you have a link to a good quilted bomber?
Indigo jeans. Cuffed or stacked. Every day. xD
A man knows what he likes!
You look like you have a Kramer thing going on the thumbnail, and I mean that in a good way😁.
Great content, as usual! I watched several of your vids before I jumped into the world of boots! Thanks!
Haha I've always wanted to hear that. And I'm glad you find them helpful! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I really like this kid of videos, thanks. Would be great to see also an update of your Oliver Cabell SB1 boots!
noted! And glad you found it helpful!
Like this channel. Watching from the UK 🇬🇧 I'm looking for a new boot brand as Timberland has declined on quality. I don't like cap toe, though.
Get Red Wing Blacksmiths.

You'll find a chance to wear them every now and again-- great boots!

nice! yeah, they're great. Thank you for watching!
Dude thanks for this, I literally needed a video regarding styles for specific boots. Super helpful!

Exactly. I've never worn moc toes because I assume they'll look weird on me. I'm a slim guy and mocs look too wide when I see them on the shelf.

Ive heard a lot about the briar oil slick but haven't had a chance to try it. And yes, these are the amber harness 8111s
Those first Taylor stitch pants are dope
Good stuff, man. Especially with the changing of the seasons, I could use some fresh ideas.
Glad you found it helpful!

I would go amber harness all the way --- it's classic! So glad you enjoy the channel!

The Copper rough & tough looks great but you can’t dress it up at all.
Let`s get this channel up and going!!
what type of jeans you wear for a boots is it like straight cut? or are those slim fit? what do you think is the best type of jeans that will be good with iron rangers ?
Slim fit for me. I think slim and straight both work with the iron ranger. Just depends on what you're normal style is
Please tell me, which size of this model will suit me if I wear Caterpillar boots in size M (10 USA).
That mustard is 🔥 🔥 👩🚒. Chinos are so versatile. This video is different and much needed.
Thanks for watching! We have more of these on the way with different boots, so stay tuned!
I like these types of videos. Please do more, the diesel boot outfits from Grant stone.
Great idea!
Glad to see the watch shoutouts haha
always!
501 original Levi’s and a buffalo plaid flannel with my red wing iron rangers
Would this style be interchangeable with the moc toe boot. Thank you for your time.
Have you ever tried styling any heritage style boot with bootcut jeans and/or pants.
More videos like this please. Thanks. How tall are you though? You look like a huge guy.
Glad to found it helpful! I'm 6'2 and around 200 lbs for reference
I love boots and thats all i use but i do dress with boot cut jeans or straight. Many of my friends tell me thats a wrong eay but i love boots
How tall are you?
Is it ok if Red Wing 2233 use when go to wedding ceremony
This was a cool video. I think I'm going to subscribe. Where are the navy chinos from in the look number 5? Thanks
Nice, thank you for watching! I got these chinos from banana republic many years ago. They're not carrying the specific type any more unfortunately
Do you always cuff your pants when you wear your iron rangers? Honestly asking if it’s an unwritten rule to do so when someone wears them
I don't always, but I can see why you think that haha
Good stuff! Wife gives me the thumbs down on the cuffed pant with my IRs though, lol
Thanks for watching! Sometimes you gotta listen to the better half-- no shame in that haha
The work well with slim fit jeans.
looks good!
What happened to just wearing jeans normally over your boots? Is that out of style?
nobody cuffs their jeans in my area of Texas. Ive always been told cuffing is a homosexual trend
@@E97x thanks Eric, just had a laugh with my girlfriend. These reviews are like watching CNN.
Thank you ! I’m actually laughing at this video I was looking for reviews on the iron ranger and ran into this one , I’m planing to use my mine for work lol , hipsters ruin everything
We don’t all wear our pants rolled up.
Alrighty then.
You should give it a try. It's a good look.
Good for you bud
Some of us is tall for that, I am lucky to find pants that reach my ankle !
Lmfao So true! I have never seen anyone do that btw.
It's nice to see the younger generation wearing real boots made in the west, and not cheap plastic junk made in China. Red Wing makes fantastic shoes.
Red wings are great! If only they'd get their website together!
Just wear the boots.
Why doesn’t anybody ever rock the flags on the boots? My boots feel naked without them. I specifically ask for them every time I bring them in for a shining
Iron rangers у меня самые дорогие ботинки и самые красивые, только только успел купить до войны. Теперь только остается ждать когда разрешат покупать остальную одежду
iron ranger and levi's 527 thats it!!!
Boots need bootcut jeans. Simple
$100 HNLY? Not overpriced at all. lmao
Skinny jeans ..you just look like a Hipster ...but thats my opinion
Billion is too much.
This guy....
Guys that are actually rugged and masculine don't know this much about fashion. 😁
Cuffed pants are so cringe
first
Cuffed jeans look stupid stop doing that
never!
I only watched this, so I could hear what appears to be a grown man talk about pairing outfits with boots 😂😂😂
The Hawaiian shirt outfit actually was the most stylish of all of them. The rest was just man without sense of style playing it safe.
Rolling up pants, watch on the wrong wrist,…
No thanks queen
thumbs down every time I hear shitty intro music 2x as loud as the rest of the video
Dude. Levis a tshirt and the boots. Done. What the he'll is going on here.
these MELT woman like butter🧈
