I took the bus from Toronto to LA in 1983 age 19 off to Australia with little money and a styrofoam cooler of sandwiches and drinks. Slept outside more times than I can remember. Lived in my 72 vw camper for two years in the late 80s travelling NA from New Orleans to Anchorage to Montreal etc. First home was a 1949 greyhound bus on a gold claim on Klondike River outside Dawson City. No cameras. No internet. No regrets…
Major kudos to this guy for taking Fox 5 to court over their illegal pressure on RUclips to take down his documentary.
Had a suite on Bourbon St. last August and it was more chaotic than my time in Baghdad.
The way Andrew talked about the homeless is so right on. Homelessness is a super complex issue for me.

I was concerned about being safe in New Orleans, so I booked the Ritz Carlton right off Bourbon Street. When I arrived, there was police tape around the entrance because someone had been shot out front right in broad daylight. I did get to share an elevator with Rene Zellweger though, so that was ok.

It's so important to take these copyright strikers to court. Hopefully sue RUclips as well so they also don't fold over like this so easily. Or at least get RUclips to testify in court so they change they're policies. It's destroying small and even medium sized creators.

It's really refreshing to see someone with some clout take on this issue. Rogan just whines that he can't play his America song with his drinking buddies. Meanwhile shit like this is going on. Not to pile on Rogan but screw his "don't read the comments" thing and his attitude towards people wanting their "precious RUclips comments." Yeah that's good advice for famous people but us regular people are really tired of having comments removed and getting comment pauses for saying a black guy committed a crime.

Currently a bartender in mid city but I worked for ever in the Quarter. I’ve seen beatings,shootings, almost every sexual act. And I lived in Treme and used to make that walk and it’s truly a gauntlet. I now think it’s such a sad place. Actually haven’t gone down in a long long time.

Ouch, the copyright strike issue rears its ugly head. We almost had our tiny and insignificant channel deleted due to this issue. We live streamed during lock downs free of charge (88 weekly gigs in a row) purely for friends, family around the world, and for a group of people who supported our Guinness World Record breaking gig for 27 years until 2020. Our channel is of course unmonitised.
As a rule, record companies and copyright owners instantly approved our performance of their songs and claimed 100% monetisation of them (they are able to put ads on our channel which earns them money). This seems 100% fair.
Sadly, The Eagles and their record company doesn’t do this. They order an instant copyright strike (3 of these get your channel instantly deleted without warning). Over the period of a year and a half we performed two Eagles tracks. Glad it wasn’t three our we’d have had the whole channel deleted overnight.
I’d fully support the ‘blank out the offending part of the video’ option rather than total destruction of a couple of years of some small creator’s work. Thank you Lex for raising this issue.
