  • I will add more info when I find the title and composer. Learned them from the album Cabin Sessions by Mairi Rankin and Eric Wright.

Nice! Has a real Natalie MacMaster sound! Do you keep time with your foot as you play? I’ve a really hard time doing that.

Thanks Kaeleigh you know she’s like my absolute favorite! Yep I’m tapping my foot on the beat. Sometimes I do heel toe like the cape Breton folks. I practiced by sitting there without my fiddle, and air bowing in rhythm while tapping my foot, and it stuck.

Good idea! I dance, so I obviously have an ok sense of rhythm, I can even to that Cape Breton dancing, but to try to combine fiddle and it absolutely floors me :) I'll try it with my air fiddle!
Speaking of Natalie MacMaster, do you play 'Flora MacDonald'? I believe it's a Strathspey....

Yes I have a video already but I think I’ll record a new one. The e minors are some of my favorite. The classic combo is bog an lochan into flora Macdonald reel. I just learned the grand etang and so I need to record the e minors again with that up front. I love when you add the clogging to your tunes. I took a cape Breton step class this summer and I can hop around a bit... coming soon 😂

      Thanks!
I'll go listen to that video of yours! Trying to learn Flora Macdonald. I've heard it played with Charles Stewart.... I think it's called.
I can't wait to see your new one (And the step dancing!) :)
