I naively trusted him and gave him what amounted to 25% of my weekly wage . What i didnt know was my father didnt bank the money , but kept it for himself . It amounted to over $700 ( over $3000 in todays money ) that he stole from me When i confronted him he just laughed and said try and get it back . The lesson i learned was never trust anyone when it comes to money , not even your own family

This is the worst way to do retirement in Thailand. Literally everything was done too fast. Imagine building a house in a random part of some random country you've never lived long term before.
