    Who are we?
    Welcome to MiCaleb Goes West! We are Caleb and Michelle West, and we have a full blown case of wanderlust. After meeting in the “most magical” of places in 2009 and getting married a year later, we have dedicated as much of our lives as possible to traveling the world, finding adventures, hanging out with amazing people, and eating and drinking everything in our path. We may not be professional RUclipsrs, but we are professional life-lovers. Nothing gives us a natural high like experiencing something new, and we aim to have fun in everything that we do. We would love to share our adventures with you. Welcome aboard!

      Thank you so much for watching! We have heard of Halls Chophouse but haven’t been there yet. Maybe that can be a fancier “splurge” meal for our next trip. Thanks for the recommendation!

      We can’t wait to go back! It’s definitely a place we could live. It sounds like you know of some great BBQ joints and we would love to hear them. We keep a food bucket list to make sure we don’t miss anything 😊. Thanks so much!

      @@micalebgoeswest Lewis bbq is my favorite for brisket…it’s so tender and their Mac and cheese is worth fighting for the last bite.
      Swig and swine is amazing for their smoked chicken wings. And saltwater cowboys is amazing for nightlife and the trash can nachos.

      @@kellimckinley2742 well, everything you have recommended sounds amazing. Michelle has been known to fight for the last bite of mac’n cheese already, and she hasn’t even tried these yet! These are going on the list right now. Thanks so much for sharing! This is what we love about RUclips-it connects us to like-minded travelers and foodies!

    I can't do oysters looks like slimy boogers to me...

    • @micalebgoeswest
      @micalebgoeswest  2 года назад +1

      You are not wrong about that. It took us until our 30s to start liking oysters. The gateway for us was southern style: putting them on a saltine cracker with horseradish on top. It helped with the texture a bit. Oysters definitely aren’t pretty but we have grown to love them. Thanks for watching!

      Same.
      But you gotta try the char grilled oysters….grilled with some garlic butter and Parmesan
