ChessNetwork Ah, why did you not announce you were going into that tournament! I could finally attempt to prove my point that the pieces are the superior side! ( winning an NM should be a substantial argument )
Please have more Horde Speed chess like this one. It's very exciting to watch. I'm not a good chess player but I love watching your video almost every day. Thank you for creating such an exciting content.
A game-winning PacQueen backrank manoevre missed at 23:47 ;) Jerry -- please play more of these -- they are a ton of fun. It will be tiring because you are learning something unfamiliar. I'm missing Fischer Random. How about suicide chess?
15:14 guy had those big brain plays. he was like "he's wants me to take that queen... he's never going to expect me to let him keep it! get predicted son!"
"pawn push?" o really a pawn push while playing white in horde? holy sh*t I thought you were going to play your pawn backwards or something! 10/10 commentary :D
19:40 lmaooooo, you go to the leaderboards and look for you, your mouse starts at the top and slowly drags down the page as you say.. "where am I? :(", then realise you're not even on the front page hahahaha.
I like the opponent's bongcloud opening at 28:00. Also, you should have the option to promote to a King. Oh and double also, black should concede if white queens with any amount of time left. He has to essentially checkmate the Queen in order to win, which is extremely difficult to say the least.
This was fun. I wonder with balanced skill who really has the advantage? I feel like pawns should always win if played correctly but I have no way to prove it!
Well, that was obviously supposing that rule does not apply in king horde chess. You lose when all of your kings get taken as white and when you're mated as black
i agree with tucense. if player with pawns according to "engines" does not make a single mistake or even not the so called the best move, i would think the pawns should win.
very nice chess variant, I always win when I play with pawns and I think pawns are far better than regular pieces since there's no need to take of care of the king
Love the speed chess Jerry! You're hilarious under pressure! I like lichess better than Chesscube but I miss all the familiar faces like John Madden and hi_jerry
Yeah I find it a MILLION times easier and more comfortable to play with an actual PC, keyboard and mouse. After getting used to playing with those features it’s a huge drag to play on mobile or iPad imo.
@Lucas: Wrong, it was a pre-move. Means it was actually opponents move which has to be a4. So Jerry's pre-move was not putting queen in front, it was a move to actually capture it after it moved (the only legal move for white).
I realize this is speed chess and that means lots of mistakes though at 23:47 you had a very juicy pawn to take on the back rank there, no LSB sacrifice needed. :p
Whenever I play horde chess, I do much better with the pieces and much worse with the pawns. I am not sure if there is a preferred side, but I definitely prefer the pieces.
What baffles me is the amount of 1s and yellow 2s, which I guess are draws. How even would you successfully draw a horde game as either side? The only possibility seems to be stalemate, which is very strange to happen to any side in this variation of chess.
I think he mentioned in another video, if you make it so white is unable to move any pawns then it's a draw. An example would be if white only had 1 pawn left and you had a piece in front of it.
hey Jerry, I've really wanted to ask you, since you play chess, a very strategic game, do you play any other strategy games? I play civ5, which requires a lot of strategy, and was wondering if you play other games as well?
It's funny when you say "pawn push" playing white since that is pretty much the only move available
cracgor I know right! ha!
ChessNetwork "oh no he moved the pawn!"
"Look at all those pawns"
White side pwns the black side
It's not the side with the pieces or the side with the pawns that does more thinking. It's the side with the Jerry.
True words spoken
"Pawn push?" Best commentary 2015! :P
at around 22:30 i like how he premoved to recapture on his knight, but the knight can't be captured in the first place :P
Always premove, even if illegal...I guess. :D
ChessNetwork "What is that move even doing?" xD
"I can have 36 Queens... and I don't even have to watch out for my King" xD
sayuti mat kamal would have been nice to see the yao ming meme along with that phrase
Alex Raxach aha, rite.
sayuti mat kamal actually all pawns have to fall before white loses in horde chess
36 queens

I have no life
Horde chess itself is already pretty intense, but making a tournament out of it?? Really entertaining
Dude astrokitty I love your vids! I never knew you were a fan of chess?!
You know, that's a little bit freaky. THe pawns don't seem to have any shared identity. They are just a faceless mass of oncoming mayhem.
Yeah. And they don't even have a king they need to protect and fight for.
Holy shit a chess zombie apocalypse
It is like the zombie apocalypse.
MrOttopants Such is life
This was way too much fun to watch.
chalenge: queen a pawn as black in horde mode.
100G Against all odds: Queen a black pawn ;)
Jake Bishop its gotta be impossible
It is quite easy, if you break through on one side and have a pawn on that side left
DetailDevil so its not easy
#HordeChess speed #chess tournament
This was more exhausting than I anticipated.
ggs to those who competed! :)
ChessNetwork We need sanic wearing the horse mask saying "Gotta go fast!" XD
ChessNetwork I have realized with pieces, it's easier to breakthrough on rook files. Sacrifice your rook on a3 or h3 with queen behind and the queen can turn into pacman mode
ChessNetwork Ah, why did you not announce you were going into that tournament! I could finally attempt to prove my point that the pieces are the superior side! ( winning an NM should be a substantial argument )
computo2000 not sure if you're on Facebook, but he usually notifies all his followers when he's gonna be streaming.
hope that helps.
ChessNetwork Wish you'd play this more. It's so much fun to watch!
Please have more Horde Speed chess like this one. It's very exciting to watch. I'm not a good chess player but I love watching your video almost every day. Thank you for creating such an exciting content.
32:01 The guy that played 19 games >
Please play this again sometime! Or just more variants in general. It's a lot of fun to watch you figure out new strategies!
A game-winning PacQueen backrank manoevre missed at 23:47 ;)
Jerry -- please play more of these -- they are a ton of fun.
It will be tiring because you are learning something unfamiliar.
I'm missing Fischer Random. How about suicide chess?
I really liked this video Jerry and I hope that you continue to do more Horde Speed Chess Tournaments :)
"I don't even have a king to worry about" 😂 that whole second game on pawn side when you figure it out was devastating! Sick game.
15:14 guy had those big brain plays. he was like "he's wants me to take that queen... he's never going to expect me to let him keep it! get predicted son!"
My favorite quote from the video: "One minute to capture 36 pawns. It's definitely not happening" :)
That premove at 22:32 Hahahhahahahah omg jerry
We want more 30 min bullet tournaments, especially ones like these !
I like it when a piece pretty much cleans all the pawns off the board. :D
Pawn push next? Yes, pawn push.
"...Back to the tournament."
"I want to play with the pawns!" ... 1 minute later: "I'm completely lost"
"pawn push?" o really a pawn push while playing white in horde? holy sh*t I thought you were going to play your pawn backwards or something!
10/10 commentary :D
I really enjoy watching you play these variants.
ouch, the tourny ended like 8 seconds before your game :/
I know you say it's too much horde chess, but it's extremely entertaining for the viewer. Do more !
Speed and horder? its like some abominable combination of all my favorite chessnetwork videos
Man, you missed it by about 5 seconds. Very close
This was fun. I wonder with balanced skill who really has the advantage? I feel like pawns should always win if played correctly but I have no way to prove it!
depends on time, longer the time control, greater the advantage for black
Pieces win.
According to Stockfish, black has advantage
Chess Bot What? By me stockfish say +0,4 :o
I wonder... Horde of rooks?.... Quick checkmate
Horde of bishops? Quick checkmate
Horde of queens? Obvious
Horde of Knights? Idk
Horde of kings? irdk
Rickson Geometry Dash Horde of Kings would win easily too, as all consecutive kings can defend each other
Don't forget that you can't make any move that would put or leave your king under attack.
1.♞c4# 0-1
Well, that was obviously supposing that rule does not apply in king horde chess. You lose when all of your kings get taken as white and when you're mated as black
Bughouse Horde!
Jerry please make more Horde Chess videos! I love it
But did you consider pushing your pawns more ?
It's 2022 and I still watch this masterpiece
Yea keep uploading horde tournaments they have much fun... But please some bullet chess too, I missed them a lot!
I just started playing this.I love it
5 seconds from 3rd XP
I was rooting for that last game to end so bad. You were off by less than 5 seconds
this mode looks like so much fun
i agree with tucense. if player with pawns according to "engines" does not make a single mistake or even not the so called the best move, i would think the pawns should win.
MOAR HORDE CHESS! MAKE IT 3 SECONDS!!!
thanx for clarifying you were making a Pawn Push
He finally realised that he needs to move faster
“I’m getting so squeeeeeezed!”
Where's the mate? - Favourite line in every tournament video.
This was super entertaining sir.
Oh man, that last game was so close!
It's hilarious when he asks "Pawn push?" when playing white. :)
I'd never seen this before. It's outrageous, in a good way.
That was extremely entertaining! Thanks for sharing!
very nice chess variant, I always win when I play with pawns and I think pawns are far better than regular pieces since there's no need to take of care of the king
HAHAHA. "Let's see how my opponent deals with this!".
Jerry, I want you to do a deep analysis of your position at 8:16!
This is so much fun to watch - Love it :)
Nice play, CN
"pawn push", "pawn push","pawn push here", "pawn push","pawn push next" .... lol great
Jerry I love your videos, don't stop !
First game in, and that was amazing.
12:50 Berserk mode pawn push activated xD
Chess Invaders.
wow! good job man, that was amazing
So much pawns!
Jerry should be required to play in berserk mode in every game. Too good.
Love the speed chess Jerry! You're hilarious under pressure! I like lichess better than Chesscube but I miss all the familiar faces like John Madden and hi_jerry
More HordeChess, please :)))))
Great video
This guy is so good
This is wild af
Exciting chess game.
Zerg rush? Does Jerry have any Starcraft videos?
the pawn trio. Trio los pawnchos
For the swarm!
19:22 Qc2 is mate haha
+Wei Sheng Except King takes Queen.
Cyberspine the pawn would defend it
Danny Semakov which one? The white pawns move up and can't defend behind them
James Vlasic B1 can clearly take c2...
The pawn at B1? After it was taken by the king?
Yeah I find it a MILLION times easier and more comfortable to play with an actual PC, keyboard and mouse. After getting used to playing with those features it’s a huge drag to play on mobile or iPad imo.
player that ended 40th was a funny fan
27:40 the queen pre-move you did there would have been stalemate, if your opponent didn't resign!
iDubstep white has to push the pawn then Jerry take it so no sale mate
Wrong, pawn can't push if queen in front
@Lucas: Wrong, it was a pre-move. Means it was actually opponents move which has to be a4. So Jerry's pre-move was not putting queen in front, it was a move to actually capture it after it moved (the only legal move for white).
One shot for every time he says "pawn push"
I realize this is speed chess and that means lots of mistakes though at 23:47 you had a very juicy pawn to take on the back rank there, no LSB sacrifice needed. :p
Whenever I play horde chess, I do much better with the pieces and much worse with the pawns. I am not sure if there is a preferred side, but I definitely prefer the pieces.
Need Caparot in this tourney. See you up against your old nemesis, both fighting in foreign territory.
"Oh boy!"
More of these! :)

I have no life
22:35 Jerry, why you premove pawn takes e5? Your knight is not even challenged :D
Pawn push? I don't know, maybe a pawn push instead. Actually you know what? I think I'll pawn push.
2:35 its so much easier to play with the pawns. Then he loses with the pawns ahhah 12:18 oooh they got all my pawns ahhaha
Last game you could fun around making 13 queens before mating.
Good job!
*"Charge!"*
hey Jerry, I've really wanted to ask you, since you play chess, a very strategic game, do you play any other strategy games? I play civ5, which requires a lot of strategy, and was wondering if you play other games as well?
edward elric I'm pretty much exclusively chess.
nice,thank you
12:20 Blaufasan the guy at number 3 is the one that got you.
Missed the last win counting by only 5 seconds.
Are you allowed to enpassant in horde?
my engine crashed trying to analyze some of these positions..
Yes. Yes, but are you getting squeezed.
why is the ad 15 minutes?
Why does the time was of 2min why not for 5 minutes
