    This is the BEST Instant Pot instructional video I've seen! I've had to endure some of the worst inst. videos on RUclips before finally finding yours! Your instructions are very clear and easy to understand. You got straight to the point on each task you were talking about. Thank you very much for teaching me how to use me Instant Pot. I've had it for 11 months now and didn't know all the functions because the instruction manual wasn't nearly as straight forward and concise as yours. YOU"RE THE BEST!

    I only watched this vid a third of of the way in and I liked and subscribed. I've watched a half a dozen other vids and this is by far the best. You have a nice voice to listen to and you obviously know IPs and are very informative. Also I know you know Ips because I've had one for over 3 years now. I wore it out. Basic duo model. And I've been pressure cooking for about 30 years. I'm excited to get the newer improved model with the air fryer liid. Maybe now I can retire my cheap air fryer and and rotisserie that live on my deck out back. I like that this unit does not smell up the whole kitchen with smoke as an air fryer etc can do. So nice to have a contained unit. And I can take it rving. As a multicooker.

    works great. i love that it has stainless steal pot inside ruclips.net/user/postUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg and not the one with coating. we used to have a coated pot before, and the coating slowly peels, and i am sure went into the food that we cooked. Absolutely love stainless steel, and will not use a coated product again.This pot has many settings and many buttons, and i need to sit down with a manual to figure out which setting to use. I used the basic functions, and even though i am not technologically skilled, i turned it on and assembled it without any help.Very satisfied with this product overall.

    Thank you, ma’am I am really enjoying watching this descriptive video of an air fryer. I haven’t bought one yet and am very keen on buying one soon. My only problem why I am hesitant is because the air fryer lid is not dishwasher safe. 😕 How are we supposed to clean the air fryer lid from inside for deep cleaning? I am not satisfied with just wiping it off, as instructions suggest. One guy was showing on RUclips how to unscrew all the parts of the kid to clean it. That is not practical at all. Do you have any advice? Thank you.😀

    • @PainttheKitchenRed
      @PainttheKitchenRed  Год назад +1

      That's a great question. Unfortunately the parts near the heating element can only be cleaned with a damp cloth. Mine hasn't become so dirty that it bothers me and I'm a clean freak :) You're right - opening the screws isn't practical. It's kind of like a toaster which gets dirty around the coils and you can only do so much to clean it.

    • @anitasapra
      @anitasapra Год назад

      @@PainttheKitchenRed Thank you so much for writing back, Neena. I am glad to know that your air fryer lid hasn’t got bad yet, bad enough to clean it deeply instead of just wiping it. But eventually it may get dirty enough. Then what are we supposed to do?! I am a huge neat freak person and I wish they had designed the lid differently so it’s easy to pull apart in case we need to clean it inside the heating area of the lid. I think in future they should really do that. Thanks again for replying, I appreciate it.😀

    • @anitasapra
      @anitasapra Год назад

      @@PainttheKitchenRed Hi Neena, I did reply back to your reply about cleaning the air fryer lid. But I just thought of this! Do you think I could cover that part where the heating element of the air fryer lid is, with aluminum foil to avoid any splatters that go inside the heating element? That way we can just remove the foil after each use and put a new one each time? Do you know if this would be safe?

      Hi George, thank you for the kind words. Bake and Roast are both presets with different default temperatures and times (that you're able to change). The main difference between the two is that Roast will beep partway through cooking to turn the food. Bake does not do this. Hope that helps.

    what is the difference from bake and roast? and how would the cooking time be compared to the regular oven? and what lid do you use for bake, roast? mine did not come with manual or instructions and when I asked they said I have to go online but that is not convenient for me as I have no internet and no printer. it would be handy to have on hand especially for cooking times. very frustrating when I have no idea how long to cook things like chicken or overcook beef/fish.

      Air Fry, Bake and Roast are pretty much just different presets for time and temperature but functionally the same. e.g. Bake is preset to 30 minutes at 365 degrees, but you can change it to be whatever you want. Hope that answers your question.

    Thank you for your clear video - much appreciated! I have a question about that silver flat insert (with no handles and no sides!) for the air fryer. It supposedly fits into a ridge in the taller air fryer insert. I have not yet found a way to remove it without #1: having the food all slip off into the larger insert, and #2: burning my fingers by holding the insert large holes in the centre. Who designed this? It's virtually impossible to use as it's designed to be used. So I've purchased (for $30!) a larger stainless insert (made by Instant Pot) that fits inside the air fryer insert. IT HAS A HANDLE TO LIFT IT OUT OF THE IP. IT ALSO HAS SIDES ON IT, SO THE FOOD DOESN'T SLIP OFF WHEN IT'S MOVED!!! I just don't understand what they were thinking when they made the flat insert! I mean, really! Anyone else frustrated by the poor design, or am I missing something?

      Hi Ann-Marie, thank you for your comment and for sharing your solution. I agree, it is not the best design! I have found that using a pair of bamboo tongs allows me to lift the metal piece out.

    Hi again
    .Binnie H here again. I am thinking
    Of making potatoe soup and since I had gotten the burn notice on my Goulash >>should I do anything special in making potatoe soup.. Hate to get a burn notice again. I have potatoes I need to cook up. You have been so kind in helping me with my burn notice problem. So I wanted to start out right with this soup correctly. First time making it. I do know to put milk with thickener in after it has cook and put on saute to thicken it and then turn it off. It will thicken. I hope that is right?? Thank you again and I never give up. Have a nice day.
    Bonnie H in Michigan. 🙂👍

    The presser cooker insert pot is made of stainless steel. But not the air fryer basket, which is not made of stainless steel. Is it right?

    Can you use the bottom part and the dehydration tray at the same time to cook things?

    • @PainttheKitchenRed
      @PainttheKitchenRed  Год назад

      You can, but they will cook at different rates since the top is much closer to the heating element. Also the dehydration tray is a bit tricky to remove when it's hot (if you wanted to get to the bottom contents). I use bamboo tongs.

    So which button is the meat/stew button? I have recipes that tell me to use this button.

    • @PainttheKitchenRed
      @PainttheKitchenRed  Месяц назад

      The meat/stew button is available on some models. It defaults to 35 minutes at high pressure. You can use the 'pressure cook' button and program it for the same time and pressure level.

    Hi I just wanted to know if what button you should press for making yogurt and cooking rice and also what does Sauté and Sous Vide mean

    • @PainttheKitchenRed
      @PainttheKitchenRed  2 года назад

      Hi Jasmen, Saute is what you use to fry or cook ingredients as you would on the stovetop. Sous vide is a way to cook foods (meats, in particular) at a low temperature for long periods of time (see my video here: ruclips.net/video/LDnGmuJgSh4/видео.html). The Duo Crisp doesn't have a Yogurt function but you can use the Sous Vide button to mimic the Yogurt button. You would set the temperature to 110 degrees and the time to 9 hours. Make sure you use ultra-pasteurized milk if you don't want to boil the milk. If you use regular pasteurized milk, boil it first in Saute mode or on the stove and then let the temperature of the milk go down to 110 degrees, add the starter, and set the temperature as mentioned above. For cooking rice, you would use the Pressure Cook button (see my video here: ruclips.net/video/DiH7DR9FI4w/видео.html). Hope that helps.

    • @PainttheKitchenRed
      @PainttheKitchenRed  2 года назад +1

      Hi Margaret, your best bet is to follow an Instant Pot recipe. Each type of soup would have a different cooking time. You don't need a Soup button, just use the Pressure Cook button. I hope that helps.

    • @PainttheKitchenRed

      Jennifer - no, the base for the air fryer basket is included. If you're sure that it's not already attached to the basket, you probably need to contact the company and see if they'll send you a replacement.

    Hi again.. love your site. I am really getting frustrated with my IP because I keep getting the 'Burn' notice even though I deglaze the bottom of the pot, and even shut it off and stir it good, add like 1more cups of water to it.. put lid back on and then it comes on again. I was making Goulash which called for 1# of grd beef, can of diced tomatoes scan of tomato 2 cans sauce , but I only had one and a 16iz box of enbow Macaroni. I did grd beef onioned etc, scraped bottom good, then 21/2 c water- stir then put in macaroni, , then the tomatoes and then the sauce but did not stir set pressure to high>>

    • @PainttheKitchenRed
      @PainttheKitchenRed  2 года назад +1

      Hi Bonnie, no need to apologize. I can see how it would be frustrating. The recipe you're making is kind of tricky because it has pasta and tomato sauce which are both notorious for causing the burn message. If you're up for trying it again, I would increase the water to 4 cups (when I make mac and cheese in the IP I use 4 cups water for 16 oz of macaroni). I hope that makes a difference. Keep deglazing and don't stir (like you already do). Good luck.
