    I have the 8qt. Duo crisp + air fryer lid. It works great! One small note: turn over the air fryer storage lid to the other side when setting the hot lid down. The way it was shown in the video is for storing the lid after it has cooled. I don’t want your storage lid to potentially get damaged is all! Just trying to offer a little help. Thanks so much for all of your videos!

    After some name brand dog food, from a big box pet store made my puppy sick. I decided to start prepping meals for him using the instapot. After a week he regained his health. Stronger now and is getting bigger faster. His vet was amazed at the quick turn around without meds. And it's jest 15 minutes of prep, for about 4 days of meals. Just putting that out there. Instapot is for the whole family.

    So couple things. First, I am hard of hearing in one ear, deaf in the other. If your not standing next to me on my good ear while the oven is heating up/cooling down I cant hear. The IP stops the fan right after you lift the lid, and is much quieter anyway. Genius! We use ours almost everyday. So tips - heat it up empty for about 2-3 minutes prior to adding food. If you want items to be crispier (crispy fries) a spritz of oil at start, and when you toss items halfway through helps. Also roasted veggies are the BOMB!!!!

We absolutely love it 😍 FYI - I believe the lid is designed be flipped over (so the logo is up) when you're using it as a resting pad for the hot air fryer lid. You can then flip it back over and lock it into place when being stored 😊 We love your channel, thank you for the awesome content!

    works great. i love that it has stainless steal pot inside ruclips.net/user/postUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg and not the one with coating. we used to have a coated pot before, and the coating slowly peels, and i am sure went into the food that we cooked. Absolutely love stainless steel, and will not use a coated product again.This pot has many settings and many buttons, and i need to sit down with a manual to figure out which setting to use. I used the basic functions, and even though i am not technologically skilled, i turned it on and assembled it without any help.Very satisfied with this product overall.

    The only complaint I have about my air fryer lid after 2 years is that the lid is very difficult to clean under the boiler plate where the fan blades are. Grease does get trapped there and I usually have to shove a thin sponge in there and work it around with a thin blunt knife to clean it... which still doesn't get 100% of it. I how in the next generation of this lid IP fixes what I consider to be the only flaw in its design. I love this thing and use it daily despite having a very large Ninja Air fryer

    I have the Duo with an air fryer lid, didn't like it much, didn't think it cooked food evenly at all and had to constantly shake the food. I ended up getting an Air Fry Countertop Oven instead. Still use the Instant Pot for pressure cooking, just not for air frying.

    I found out about the lid in your other air fryer video where it was mentioned in the comments. I bought one for my 6 qt and love it. I made baked potatoes by cooking with the IP then I drained the water and switched from the rack to the air fryer basket. I layered two on the bottom and one on the broiler rack. I then air fried the potatoes and the results were awesome. Crispy skins and fluffy insides. And less time than preheating my oven. (Not that I preheat to bake potatoes, just throw them in and turn on the heat. Not like it’s a soufflé). 🙂

Then I placed 1 cup of water in the pot, the ribs in the air fry basket, pressure cook on HI for 35-38 minutes. Natural release for 15 minutes, empty water out. Air fry at 400F for 6 minutes, turn ribs, and air fry an additional 2 minutes. YUMMMMM! Try it! You can probably use any marinade that you like.

That way only the rim of the lid is in contact with the plastic.

      I cook a frozen hash brown every morning. I use a Misto to spritz it with a little evoo on both sides, sprinkle a pinch of kosher salt then fry at 400 F for 6minutes, flip, then another 6 minutes. The outside is crispy/crunchy, and the inside is soft, hot, and creamy. I put about 2 teaspoons of ketchup on the plate, then dip as I devour each piece. :)

    So glad you are doing Inst. pot air fryer recipes. I've been looking for how to do frozen, breaded chicken nuggets and tenders and other prepared foods in the fryer and pretty much all I can find is how to do them with fresh meat which is fine but there are times when I need something fast and no prep. I need it as easy as putting said food on a plate and microwave. I bought the Inst. Pot 8qt that comes with the fryer lid because I already had an 8qt duo nova and the size was perfect. The only problem was you can't buy just a lid to fit an 8qt. If you could do some easy prepared foods I would be extremely grateful cause as I said I can find no help at all on that topic. I haven't used my lid at all cause I cant find the instruction I am looking for. Thanks for all the instruction thus far. You and your sisters are great and we very much appreciate all you do.

    • @JennidavismakeupHouston
      @JennidavismakeupHouston 3 года назад +3

      I agree. If the problem was she wanted more space to make larger meals the IP air fryer lid is not a solution. You have to make multiple small to medium batches which defeats the purpose of “instant” or “convenient”
      In the video you can see she can only fit a very small amount of those sweet potatoes fries. That wouldn’t be enough for that hungry husband.

      @@paulabradley656 Anything that has a lid or foil on while cooking will produce steam which isn't released into the air- so the water vapor droplets fall back into the food. Typically deep fryers aren't covered nor skillets when you fry chicken, okra, etc. Ironically I bought an air fryer at Costco not long ago & I still need to try it. Not sure if it has a steam release since I am new to the air fryer world! I will just have to try it & see how the food turns out. :)

    The air fryer lid is awesome. But I just saw one on QVC that seems even better. Under their Cooks Essentials brand, it has concentric rings around the edge to make it fit various pots. Suddenly the thought of heating up a cast iron skillet and air frying in that comes to mind. Or use it over an appropriately sized Dutch Oven to bake bread right on the counter (on a trivet, of course). Maybe fry some chicken in that Dutch Oven.
