I can't even begin to describe how thrilled I am to see Rick and Michonne on my screen again! This episode was AWESOME, definitely the strongest start to a TWD spinoff yet! I can't wait to see more and learn what Michonne has been up to! Can't believe we already got a reunion this episode!!

Okafor’s death was so shocking, especially when he blew up I wasn’t expecting that much gore

Fact -Leslie is South African and so is Andrew Lincoln’s mother. Andrew had a house and lived some years in South Africa.

World Beyond deals with all the Cuvic Republic, CRM, military and society stuff in the walking dead. I’m so glad I watched it and the two lastest spinoffs helps me see where the series and the universe is headed.

SO DAMN GOOD! Finally getting Ricks comic look is everything to me. Did you notice the book Okafor gave Rick? It's the Art Of Peace. Morgans book. Hope that means he shows up.
Also, the budget was over $13m an episode. Far high than other spinoffs and TWD

I'm so glad you stated that. If she was a true friend she would do what Estanban is doing. Instead she gaslighting him and trying to talk him out of wanting to be with his family. She wants Rick and to keep him inside is her best way of getting in his bed.

So back story in World Beyond we found out Ep 1 that the CRM took out Omaha (population 90K) and its sister community Campus colony (10K) and blamed it on a "column" (herd).
The CRM was manufacturing a poisonous gas (yellow in color) to mass murder the communities b/c Major General Beale had "done the math" and they had become a "drain on resources & a potential threat to the Hidden City/Civic Republic".
Okafor clearly knew it was the CRM (military) that took out Omaha/Campus Colony and that was why he said "no more Omaha's".
The WB kids along with the scientists from the "research facility " thier dad worked at kidnapped Maj Gen Beales son, blew up the research facility (after Jadis took over for a lady named Lt Kobleck...idk if we will see her in TOWL or not) and were headed across the country to Portland to warn them about what the CRM did and they were next.

I’m excited to see michonnes perspective to that moment but I’m hoping the episodes keep up with the premiere and if so it’ll be the best walking dead show since Rick left

Funny enough with Lesley's character I do think her 'saving' Rick is part selfishness and part friendship. Estaban is a B, he has someone within Philadelphia to be right there for and that's why he's willing to help his friend escape, while she is 12,616.66 km away from home, and she has no one and nothing in the city for her but the CRM. She was Navy she understands making hard choices, Rick is the closest thing to a FRIEND and she doesn't want him to die OR to actually succeed and have the CRM kill him and everyone he loves so she tries to protect both her friend and the only connection she has by telling him to accept his new life
