So I already had years of Rap/Hip hop listening under my belt.. and then had Eminem as an adult.. So I was caught up already. This was the 1st single he was supposed to release for his 2nd album Marshall Matthers LP. Criminal and another were supposed to be the other following singles. But the record label said No!!! They wanted him to make anothe My Name Is song. So next song he made is The Way I Am...which he says he cant make another My Name Is. Hes not some poppy sensation that yall making me out to be. But then he end up doing what they wanted him to do. That's when he made Real Slim Shady...and those other type of songs as 1st singles for the next few albums...along with D12...so yeah, they knew he could still do that music...as well as his other shit too. But either way, Im glad they released Real Slim Shady as the 1st single...and then The Way I Am...and of course Stan. Btw, did you react to Marshall Matthers song yet? You should react to the whole album...cause you reacted to most of those songs now.
