You can`t be an effective healer and a rotten person at the same time. It doesn`t work that way. He works with energy as well, it`s not just a physical massage. I hope that explains my comment a bit.

I remember when my dad was still healthy, he would always massage my shoulders when they hurt. And the foot rubs! He massaged my feet right before my university entrance exam when I was SO nervous - I'll never forget that and his kindness. And yes, I passed the exam 😊

My grandfather used to give a similar massage for my migraines. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1906. He was of Scotch Irish descent. Maybe grandpas are similar everywhere.
"Grandpa" may give the world's best massage; I can't say about that, but I can say is he is still a practicing martial arts student. Look closely at the knuckles, followed by the sheer density of his hands and fingers. Probably not a lot of regular bag work or sparring any more, but he is not a stranger in his home dojo. Props to G-Pop for that alone given his age.

arthritis has a large (but not definitive) genetic component and can be just something that does or does not happen to someone. People used to think runners would always end up with bad knees but after a few studies it turns out that runners tend to have better knees overall compared to a less physical group.
@@tatikto you are talking about rheumatoid arthritis... you can also get arthritis as a RSI, where you have worn away the cartilage in your wrist to the point where the bones are rubbing against the tendon... still, that is why I gave the runner example as there is not always a direct correlation and why they think there is some sort of genetic component associated with it.
@@adam346 There’s a diet connection as well. Whether it’s rheumatoid, osteo, or RSI, arthritis can be managed through diet. More carbs and sugar tend to exacerbate stiffness and pain. While the genetic component may exist, we have more control than we think.
