I bought my first Emmylou album in 1975 and haven't stopped buying them since. Her voice is so unique and her talent for finding amazing songs is legendary.
I meet her 30+ yrs ago at a place in Virginia called the Birchmere. She was so sweet, humble and Beautiful. She had really long hair, such a big turn on for me. I could listen to her sing for days.
Emmylou Harris must be in her 70's by now, and it makes no difference!! She still has the golden pipes she had when she was in her 20s, and she is showing no signs of slowing down or getting tired. A great artist, a beautiful, classy lady, and a musical hero, because she's a walking encyclopedia of music going all the way back to Stephen Foster. God was having one of His better days when He made Emmylou Harris!!! Definitely one of my favorite human beings on planet Earth!!!

As a matter of fact I think that's where he found Kenny Vaughn during this time , not sure . Kenny was playing with another Lady at the time. Emmylou has saved many lost souls, one MOA from the edge, angel, siren, or slykie...I don't care as long as she's there...the mystique of her songs reflects the depth of life...with a bewildered or beguiled hope for another day...just another sunrise with a promise or surprise...I won't be alone listening to Emmylou.
You obviously have the ability to read people on a deeper level than the average bear. I think Emmylou must have some other gifts in addition to natural talent and a relentless work ethic. There are a few others who come to mind, individuals that the new age folks refer to as ascended masters. Jimi Hendrix and John Coltrane come to mind, as well as perhaps B.B. King and Duane Allman. Emmylou Harris' work has moved a whole bunch of furniture inside my head for well over half of my life. We are truly blessed to have such people among us for whatever time the Lord allows them on this earth.

She does! Quite frequently actually which is really impressive. Makes me almost wish I could tell her to slow down😂(but she’s always been somewhat of a workaholic). In fact I’ll be seeing her this coming summer ✨✨
