I really like the blue backlighting. I'm not a fan of green. Too bad the car didn't come with RGB to make the backlighting user selectable. Are these dimmable?
from what i have observed, the 94-00 mustang clusters came with a light blue filter that mixed with the incandescent lights to make a teal/green, however in 01-04 they did some minor revisions to the interior (some relocated buttons, new center console and cup-holders, double din radio) but also changed the filter from the light blue to a green. you probably have the 01-04 style, it is worth noting if you go to a junkyard and find a 99-00 you can buy the cluster, and swap the main-board from your current cluster to the junkyard cluster which should have the blue filter, that's what i did in my car, this will not affect the odometer which stores on the main-board which is swapped over
Came here to make this same comment. I bought the lights to get the blue color in my dash. Mine is an 03 so I guess the comment lines up. definitely disappointing

The problem is 01-04 mustang have a green filter behind the gauge face which is why it’s just showing green. You have to take the face off and sand the green filter off with some sand paper to get rid of that green color. Then and only then whatever LED color you install will give you that cluster color.
I like this... might have to grab me a set come spring...
why is mine green
There is a blue film placed over the lens on the inside, the incandescent bulbs produce yellow light, together.. they make green.

Yes, these LED's are dimmable when using the switch in the car!

Does it have green film on the cluster ?
Is there any green flim to remove in the cluster?
Yes
@@ponyboywils9950how do you do that
with the 99 mustang, are the climate control bulbs the same size as these??
No. The bulbs in the climate control assembly are 194. -Landan
did this but my gauge is still dim AF any possible solutions?
Twist the headlight knob, it's also a dimmer
How did you get that blue lighting when there is some kind of green bezel in the instrument cluster?
Due to the filming and color correction, the bulbs look to give off a blue hue, but they are actually white in person.
They don’t make anything like the autometer lunar or simco stuff anymore eh?
I bought there clear white bulbs and my cluster is still showing green why is that?!
Some of these years do have a filter, and with the clear bulbs, it can still emit a bluish or green hue to it.
@@latemodelrestoration which years exactly ? Is 2000 good
Doesn’t look bright enough to make it worth the upgrade. 😜
Why isn’t the odometer miles visible anymore ?
The car is off
mine is not white, i bought these and my cluster is just brighter green

Well shit I ordered these hoping for the blue color, wonder if I get some blue led’s instead what it would look like with the green cluster filter

These new led lights suck, bought them installed them perfectly as shown and they light green and dim
I'm guessing you've already tried adjusting the dimmer switch? -Landan
