They're all from bootleg cds that I've found on the internet. Just wish there was more video footage available, that would be good. But for now I'm happy to put the slideshows together. I always wanted more JF Ultravox when I first heard them, three albums just wasn't enough! :)
I was there! 1979! I was 23 years old and I was right up in front of the stage. At some point during the concert I held up my right as high I could and John Foxx gave me a "High 5".
Do you remember there was a power outage right when Ultravox first came out on stage due to the massive rain storms we were having that year? They came out on stage 3 or 4 times because the power kept shutting down. I thought they were going to cancel the concert because of the power was going out. Glad everything turned alright.
All the UV stuff with John Foxx are cool. I have a bunch of bootlegs but have never listened this one. John's voice seems to have some trouble but still excellent!
I would say it was the equipment that they used. Not the best. Sadly Island Records dropped them before they went on this tour, and Ultravox financed it themselves.

I was there, but after all these years I remember it was in February, 1979. We had a massive rain storm at that time.

Cazz I'm loving all these uploads. I'm really curious as to how you have so many?
please post "slow motion", "quiet men"I was at the evening show
The only song I remember from that concert is 'Touch and Go' which is on John Foxx's debut solo album Metamatic.
Kinda lame vocals, John... I know you wanted out, but still..
