- Robyn and Kody have claimed for years that the audience of Sister Wives have it all wrong. Kody says that she came into the family open and full of love. She has only wanted the best for the Brown family and the rest of us just flat out have it wrong. Let's talk about it.

One things for certain tho is that she was a good matriarch to the whole family. They didn’t have big family problems till Robyn legally married and took her spot. I think that she did try to be fair and looked out for Christine and Janelle for the most part 🤷♀️
@@Reenym-vs4nk Late to this party, but even Jenelle gave credit where credit was due. She said Meri was (and is) an honorable person and would have continued to make sure that resources were distributed fairly.

Robyn had no plans to join the Brown family, she expected the Brown family to join her family. She systematcally destroyed all of their traditions, one by one.
The OG 3 weren’t allowed to stand up to Robyn because Kody would never allow it. He was already criticizing them saying they weren’t treating Robyn fairly.
Kody legally married Robyn so that means she moved up to Wife #1. Kody never articulated that Meri, Christine & Janelle were to treat her as his #1 wife. Wife #1 gets more power over the 3 wives even though they were faithful wives to Kody for so many years. The OG3 had to bow down to Robyn who could care LESS about the 3 other wives. Robyn is pathetic control freak & Kody allowed her to be A monster to his 3 wives & kicked his 13 kids out. Kody with Robyn's approval turned against his 3 wives & 13 kids who were not asked to be born in the abuse of polygamy. They lost what little attention Kody handed out -Completely. He abandoned 13 biological kids for Robyn.
Nothing is stopping Robyn from wishing anyone Happy Birthday either!
She should be making sure Kody doesn’t forget any either!
Goddess hit the nail on the head. Kody discussed the nature of his relationships with Robyn before they were married. She knew the path was clear to become the legal, favored wife. They both basically agreed to use the other wives and string them along.

Robbin said her dream was to be a sister wife. Why do we take this as fact. We know she’s a compulsive liar, we know she knew that Kody was going to have a tv show, she wanted to be an actress, she took all their money, and has managed to get rid of all the other wives and the children. She would have never gotten in without the sister wife story. She also had to keep it up so Kody would not see what she was doing and continue believing she’s the victim
Honestly. I thought it was interesting that Robyn started trotting out Christine and Janelle’s talkng points and tried to make them her own. Christine has always said from the very first episode “I didn’t nust want the man, I wanted the family”. Janelle is the one who always said “she wanted to sit on a porch with their kids and their grandkids”.
I can't even try to give that woman any grace or see it any other way. Robin is a selfish, grifter period! As far as I can tell, she never did anything to bring this family together. She talks about being the great communicator but her actions never aligned with her words!

Exactly! If she was truly for the family, she would have pushed Kody to go to Gwen’s surgery. Christine said that’s what broke up her marriage. Everyone saw that with their own 2 eyes 🤷♀️

I agree with Lizzie. Narcissist like to be seen as the wiser one, they live to be the one that throws the best parties or gatherings(Christine outshined her and she hated that) they need the kudos. They want to look like the giving, kind person. But if you don’t acknowledge it, they will spit on you. I know from experience. Unfortunately, unless they have a traumatic experience, they will never change or try to get help.

I don't think Kody has ever purchased a home without the help of the og 3. Before the Lehi house...they bounced from rental to rental until JANELLE purchased the Lehi house. She then added Kody and Meri to the loan. The Flagstaff house..he needed Janelle's and Meri's MONEY... Waiting to see how Kody and Robyn do ADULTING without the OG3 and their MONEY.

Everything you said was right on! Robyn said they took to long in their engagement. Why weren’t the kids already intertwined into the Brown family. Bet some of her kids made complaints(I don’t believe they were sold on this new move)she used the Brown boys aggressiveness as an excuse when she wanted control. If she wanted to be a committed sister wife she should have had “conversations”with the women. Survival is all these women can do. Lying is the name of the game in polygamy. They teach that early. This whole structure is set up to fail. The only hope to keep it going is that the women keep their faith, teach it to the children to help the father(God, Leader) hold his family together. Kody has said time and again the women are responsible to have those kids respect him. I resent they didn’t speak about the religion. Kody used the words “Family”. Gottta look at the whole picture, it’s about the “Family”. No…It’s about the women keeping the faith. Keeping their religion. Keeping the rules and Obey. In AUB women need to take their place, children need to take their place. The husband needs to take wives. The “FAITH” is all these women need to keep sweet in their position. That’s why Kody was surprised, disgusted, angry, frustrated. The women just didn’t abide by their belief system. So their sinning. Shame! But this was never addressed bc they knew the fans would bulk at a religion that treated women and children like that. His elders knew that when they didn’t want him to air this show. This is not a “NORMAL” way of life! Higher calling, My *ss! It’s asking women and children to put up with, struggle, sometimes not eat in the name of God using fear of salvation in the end. It is a Cult. It is for men. Period!
Kody would have to stand up and say “this is what our religion looks like in polygamy”. This is common(as ones who have left the AUB have said) But Kody could have been much more compassionate with his wives, understanding. Not ignore them and expect them to just pray. But he couldn’t. He didn’t love them. He collected them to stage this way of life. Yes, Robyn is the girlfriend. There’s no explaining his actions. He’s selfish. He’s lazy. He has a personality disorder. Robyn is also out to take care of herself. The only redemption either have is to admit the religion is what made them do everything possible ( which meant hurting, walking on,lying to, shaming, gaslighting) to keep it intact. It’s a shit belief system. He could say I wished I had seen that sooner. I’m hoping with time I can redeem myself with my extended family. I’m sorry. (Not going to happen) Narcissisist cannot be wrong. Even tho he really doesn’t follow his religion(expected the women to) he’s not going to denounce it. He would then look duped and his ego can’t take that. It’s just sad.
Well, when Robyn and her kids first came in, they were all kept separate from day one. There was never even one attempt on Robyn's part to do anything together with the other wives or the other kids. She wanted special treatment for her and her children from day one.
Their religion ‘supposedly’ doesn’t value materialism. It doesn’t value ‘vanity’ either. However, they all lived very modern lives.
As a mum sobyn should have insisted and know isbel needed her dad there, she would insist he was there for her kids, and leave the other kids for four weeks. Even if kody couldn't be bothered she had the pull to insist. No she would have insisted it was paid for by kody stopped him going to the wedding and thrown a hissy fit if another wife behaved in the same way

If Robyn was this sweet, selfless person, who only wanted the best for others…..then why did she spend her first husband into poverty??? Why would she be upset that her pregnancy was met with disinterest, by the older kids??? Wouldn’t she understand the feelings of her ex-husband and ‘step-children’ and be sacrificing,( by her standards)and forgiving????!!! She was an adult (rumored), couldn’t she overcome her desires and feelings for the greater good??? Apparently not.

I don’t mind them saying, we don’t know them because of the show. However, when it’s convenient for them. They try to use that same reputation in business ventures. People trust us they know our name. Pick a lame. Just because we see them on TV. Does not mean the Browns have the right to overcharge. People for what they are selling.
True we really do not know the various Browns just cause they are on reality TV.
But we have watched Kody Brown say on his reality show, some awful comments about his plural wives: he never loved Meri, Janelle or Christine is a big nasty, unnecessary thing to say publicly.
Second, during Covid, that Janelle should kick out his 2 sons out of her house because they were having to work at jobs & were seeing girlfriends. It was a global pandemic & Kody wanted 2 of his sons put out of Janelle's HOME during the pandemic!
Those two comments freely spoken by Kody Brown did not sit well with me, the viewer.
So yes we do not know what goes on in Kody's world but he opens his mouth with shocking observations & comments. So we kind of know Kody is not a good person.
Really the only comments that work IMO are what the 18 Brown kids have to stay. Could care less about whiner, complainer Kody & Robyn.

We don’t know them…but if they wanted us to really trust them…perhaps they shouldn’t lie so much on the show. I don’t care if other people purchase their MLM’s…I don’t like the principle on which they are selling them. I would be more apt to purchase the clothing than something I put in my body. That is a bit scarey to me. If people want to do Worthy Up, that is fine with me, but I wouldn’t. I just don’t have the money to do that, nor would I if I did. I am not a fan girl for anyone. I like Meri, Janelle, and Christine and their children. I don’t care for Kody and Robyn because of what they show of their personality on the show. Their behavior is disgusting 😢. I worry about their kids, so much more than I do the OG 3, but I still feel so bad about Garrison.

I thought for a long time in the beginning that it was possible that Kody kept her isolated and she was unaware of what Kody was saying to the other wives. (I believe this to be true.) However, she has used Kody to get everything that she wants even when she hears how it will hurt the family. She came in thinking Kody was her savior and it works every single time. Plus I believe that Kody isn’t a complete adult and shifted his personality to suit her all in fear of losing her. If the all of the rest of the family sees it then she is the issue.
I think she probably really wanted sisterwives when she was messing with Neri’s husband. But when she became the wife… all bets were off. She changed and didn’t want to share her now husband.
Or did she have an agenda? She has no respect for this life style. In so many cultures and religion, the youngest wife knows her place. How in the hell did she even become the head wife? This is craziness
I think that Robyn and Kody, being the narcissists that they are, think that if they say something happened a certain way then that’s a fact. The real facts don’t matter.
I see it as BOTH Kody and Robyn would have to come forward and own up to their actions. A big one I’d need to see from Robyn is that she knew he was spending more than her fair share with her. I agree that most of this falls on Kody’s shoulders but Robyn also has to own up to her mistakes. The fact that even Meri has never been her bestie, even though she’s had her in her back pocket whenever she wanted. What’s the excuse there? She doesn’t have one.
I’d need to see Robyn telling the OG3 that she’s sorry for taking more than her fair share of Kody’s time and allowing Kody to hide from his other family members with her.
-Kody needs to say he’s sorry for dodging the others too. He’d have to say, “I never wanted to leave Robyn’s side, so I admit that I stopped nurturing our relationships and am responsible for the demise.”
I can’t see either of them doing any of that though. Especially Robyn. She’s been trying so desperately hard to cling to the image she wants us to see of her but we’ve been able to see her behind the curtain. Kody has started admitting some of his fault (that he didn’t love them) but I don’t think that he would own up to the entirety of it.

James I am a little behind on my watching, but what can you do. I do want to comment about Robin, I think that we can not forget that she is a product of her environment/religion as well as her glaring flaws. Mormonism is a high demand religion and the AUB are fundamentalist. I think that Robin did want the plural life, but she wanted want the OG3 had when the kids were little or rather the romanticized view of it and that experience was done. She came with unreal expectations and Kody (who I think should shoulder the majority of the blame) tried to give her that, but it after a while he just became indifferent to the OG3.

I bet they forced their real father to sign over his rights and sign a NDA bc he didn’t have the money to fight Kody in court. Her eldest children seem to have some sort of trauma they don’t have their own voice. I bet she marries all the girls off into polygamy families bc she’s already spoken about she is not open to other types of religious or lifestyles. Her son is living in a trailer on the property. Every time I hear garrisons name I get so sad. This idiot family needs to get their life together and repair their relationships for his sake. I always liked Robyn and thought that the things people said about her were actually true about Meri. Think about it. Tens of millions of people think Trump is a good person. People obviously can’t judge character reliably.
Just an FYI, people on the spectrum (and I say this as a mother of children on the spectrum) do feel the same emotions as other people. They may not understand social cues. But, they feel the same emotional range as other people. Typically, much more intensely. Just wanted to clear up that misconception. if you’re speaking about narcissist, they can have areas in their brain where they don’t experience emotions the same as other people, such as empathy
