Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is an open world action-adventure game based on the Avatar film series developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. The game is scheduled to release for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on December 7, 2023. It is the second video game released for the franchise after Avatar: The Game (2009).

The graphics when you first walk out into the forest were amazing. This game doesn’t look too bad so far
The dialogue writing and voice acting is DREADFUL, however. Its like a Chinese Anime cartoon dubbed to English.

Ive been a game designer for 8 years an this is a movie license. Which is a cash cow for any game developer studio. Whether they are good or bad, they will always sell because of the name.

Well... Movie licenses sell regardless of whether they are good or not. And its extremely hard to impress people today. Everything gets compared to the top 1% of games out there.

This game looks absolutely beautiful.
This is a tremendous step up in graphical fidelity and it shows the sheer power of the Snowdrop engine. It's insane! But people trying to make the game look ugly prove that it's always best to make your own opinion on stuff as opposed to just accepting filth from people.

@@xzx3580use fsr 3 upscaling instead of dlss and use its frame generation. I was shocked it looks native in this game and it more than doubles your framerate (running ultra 1440p on 3070 locked at 60fps)
I think the graphics look good but the crosshair and all that looks awful and awkward

Whenever I hear the music in the game I get so much James Horner vibes since he made the music for the first Avatar. I've been a long time fan of the composer. And the music he has made for movies are amazing! Especially my favourites Titanic and Balto. Very sad that he died in 2015. Rest in peace James.
The Titanic soundtrack is iconic! I just wish James Horner, Hans Zimmer and John Williams had been able to collaborate on a project. Imagine the three greatest composers of the modern era scoring a movie... 😮

man I've been watching you since the 6th grade and now I am about to graduate college next week! your videos have always gave me a way to watch new games when I couldn't afford them, or decide if I want to buy a game based on your gameplay. For game of the year I think baldur's gate 3 is going to win this year because of the impact it had on gaming this year, even though my personal game of the year is spider-man 2 with tears of the kingdom right behind it.

I'm always amazed by games like this and Horzon Zerio Dawn that put a lot of attention into the details of the environments even if they're areas that you're just passing through.

EDITED TO ADD: recently I’ve noticed with how large the game is, some of my key characters that I am talking with or even the direhorses, like during the Zeswa Clan missions, are poorly rendered and take time to adjust and render appropriately. I think it may just be because of the size of the game and amount of graphic detail, but it’s not a major drawback for me. I’m a huge avatar fan. I’ve watched both movies, love them to death. Got the game on Xbox as soon as it released. The graphics are mind blowing and as soon as I went into the forest during night, it was wild and immersive. The only drawbacks are the background characters. If you aren’t directly speaking with them, they look a little shifty. But the rest of the game is absolutely incredible and the customization for gameplay is truly amazing.
Brad is such an anomaly, 13million subs and definitely one of the highest subcounts among gaming channels and yet no one talks about him. I camt express how much i respect how chill he is. Rock on bruh 🤙
Full series PLEASE! I fell in love with the way of the water since I'm already deeply connected to the ocean. The Avatar movie series is incredible and I'd be sooo so happy if you played this game till the end!

The story and the acting is really childish, but the game looks gorgeous.

Regardless of certain plot wierdness, Avatar is still one of tue best Sci-Fi SETTINGS ever conceived.
Lol, that's a bit of a stretch.
It's literally the plot of Pocahontas but colored blue. That's not even close to being the best setting when there are original stories like Star wars or Star Trek.
Again, I'm referring to the setting, not the plot.
The plot is very basic for a reason. They aren't the main characters, Pandora is.
Cameron made Avatar to show off Pandora, which is a world he's been dreaming about since he was a kid.
The plot is purely a setting delivery device, a very loose justification to show the audience all these cool sights. That's it, simple as.
It's a pure spectacle piece, and honestly? I'm okay with that.
@@RavenWolffe77 What you are referring to is the visuals. The setting is generic space humans on a generic alien planet. I cannot find anything exciting about the setting, while the visuals make me awe every time.

This looks like its going to be an amazing game! Avatar released only 1 year after Dead Space which is how i originally found you. Crazy to think you are still pumping out awesome playthroughs all these years after. Without a doubt game of the year goes to Baldurs Gate 3 though i made so many memories on that game with my friends.

The previously released gameplay of it was off of a cloud streaming version, making the quality seem worse than it is. This looks absolutely amazing. The day/night cycle and weather effects are spot on.

Hogwarts Legacy seems like a serious contender for game of the year, not just because its a good game but also as it allows so many people to live and be a part of the world we first saw when we were growing up
